My favorite time of year. Use this thread to discuss bracket picks, games, etc.
Looks like KU has a fairly easy region. The potential 2nd round game against Uconn scares me a little. Uconn is a pretty good team. After that Cal/Maryland doesn't scare me.

For those of you worried about some previous early KU losses, don't be. This is a different, healthy team. 2 years ago we were without Joel Embiid, last year Perry Ellis was hurt and Cliff Alexander was out.

Nice handwriting. We have VERY different brackets. Maybe it is my Big 12 bias, but Duke isn't getting out of the first weekend. I think Baylor is a perfect matchup for Duke. Duke has very little depth, and they struggle defending inside and rebounding. Baylor is a big, physical team. Rico Gathers is an animal, and the best offensive rebounder in college basketball. I really don't see Duke winning that game. (Gathers is actually working out to be a TE. Announcers have been joking about it the past four years, and he is actually going for it) Also, I obviously have KU going further. That is definitely bias though, so no complaints there.

craig440 I hope that's sarcasm. The only teams that got hosed were St Bonnaventure and Monmoth. San Diego State wasn't very impressive this year, so they are right where they belong in the NIT. 101mitch Yeah my handwriting has always sucked. The Pundits right now believe that Duke won't even make it to the elite 8, but I never go with what the experts say. Baylor actually has to make it out of the first round first, as I could very well see Yale pulling an upset. I agree Duke is not the same team as they were last year and have been a major disappointment. But that makes them a perfect pick for me because nobody else will give them a chance to go very far. They don't have the bench, but they still have 2 excellent players in Allen and Ingram who is arguably going to be the #1 pick in the draft. I'm probably being very biased here though. Lots of people have Kansas going pretty far this year, so I can't really say its complete bias to have them go far, even though you pick them every year. But when the tournament gets here, they always seem to underachieve and choke in the 2nd or 3rd round. This year I don't see it being any different honestly.

This year I don't see it being any different honestly. 2 years ago we were without our most important player, Joel Embiid. Last year we were without our starting center. (Cliff Alexander), and Perry Ellis was half of himself. This year we are healthy, and rolling. We've been amazing ever since we took Hunter Mickelson out of the starting lineup. As soon as Lucas stepped in as the starting center we have been a completely different team. The fact that Hunter Mickelson is our #6 big man right now shows how incredibly stupid it was for him to start. Also, Devante Graham is amazing. Devante Graham is one of the best PGs in the country. He SHUT DOWN Buddy Hield in the first half of the 2nd KU-OU game. (In the 2nd half Hield had some transition points, and points when Graham wasn't guarding him.) Hield was 0-6 in the first half of that game. I think Graham, along with the consistency of Ellis, is enough to push us to at least the FF.

SDSU had a tough schedule and only lost two games. They won 26 I think. At least thats what I hear. I don't pay much attention.
