Welcome everyone to this weeks bengals weekly preview between the bengals and ravens
GAME INFO
the bengals will be playing the ravens in baltimore on september 10th at 7 PM ET on ESPN. it is a national televised game and its the bengals first time back on primetime since they had none of them last season. the bengals will wear there white away jerseys this game
RUNDOWN
this is one of the biggest games of this week. both the ravens and bengals are coming off playoff berths and both will be looking to make it back to the playoffs once again. i think most of us can agree though that the ravens are easily a better team than the bengals right now. currently the ravens have a 92 percent chance to win this game while the bengals only have 8 percent. a big surprise on how its not even that close despite it being a big game this week. a cold hard fact of the week is joe flacco is 4-0 in his season openers
HISTORY
the ravens currently are on a 3 game winning streak against the bengals. the bengals are only 14-18 all time against the ravens. last time these 2 teams played was in 2011 where the ravens beat the bengals in cincinnati 24-16. the last time these 2 teams played in balitmore, the ravens also won in 31-24 in 2011. last time the bengals beat the ravens was 2010 where they won 15-10 in 2010 in cincinnati. last time the bengals beat the ravens in balitmore was 17-14 in 2009. the last 7 seasons, the ravens have only beaten the bengals by double digits one time, and that was 2008. the ravens havent beaten the bengals by double digits in balitmore since 2003 so i dont expect the bengals to get destroyed
THE 5 KEYS TO VICTORY
5.Don't let flacco throw the deep ball. the secondary is still struggling IMO as they dont have the speed to keep up with some guys on the ravens offense. that is why it is important to not let flacco go deep this game. pressure him enough so he will get nervous and not have enough time go deep. make him check it down alot and that could give the defense a chance.
4.Win the turnover battle. the bengals didnt do that last year in both games against the ravens. they lost the turnover battle in both games. when they have beaten the ravens in the past, it was because they made flacco turn it over a bunch of time. like the deep ball thing, pressure flacco to get him uncomfortable and then get him to turn it over
3.Protect andy dalton. that is something they did not do this preseason. and now with the loss of 2 OL players for the season in travelle wharton and kyle cook and facing a tough ravens DL, its not gonna get any easier here. they need to pull a miracle here and give dalton more time to throw
2.Find a way to run the football. that seems like an impossible task because running against the ravens defense is not easy. but with the loss of terrell suggs, that might help the team. problem is, the bengals only got law firm to run the football with and a bad OL situation right now as guys like clint boling, jeff faine, and kevin zeitler will be having tough tasks on that OL
1.Stop ray rice. both games against the ravens last year, ray rice also rushed for over 100 yards. when the bengals did hold ray rice under 100 yards, they often beat this team. the bengals DL is still very good and even better now with devon still and brandon thompson to help them out since they already got domata peko and geno atkins. however carlos dunlap wont play this game and can the LB's help out? cam cameron might help the bengals in this favor because he known for being a crappy offensive coodinator. if the bengals stuff ray rice this game, it will force flacco to throw more throws and thus he will struggle. if they do this, i GUARANTEE it that they win this game
PREDICTION
this gonna be a good game to watch i believe. i dont expect it to be completely one sided. but the ravens are gonna be just fine this year i believe and will contend for the superbowl once again, while the bengals need to just worry about getting over .500 IMO. the injury bug has hit both teams, but right now the bengals got the worst of it out of the NFL IMO. therefore its gonna cost this team a big win this week. not to mention the replacement refs are bound to screw up

later this week ill talk about the injury report on the bengals to say whos gonna be out this game and who will replace who that means
enjoy the game everyone that is watching it
