Mets guy Paul DePodesta as Chief Strategy Officer. Doomed to fail - repeat the same mistakes. Guy is an analytic. Browns are grasping at straws, someone's pipe dream. Hope they prove everyone wrong, but uh....

He isn't just a baseball guy. He has also worked in both football and hockey as well as he played football in college.
I don't see why this is doomed to fail, he isnt GM or in sole control of bringing in players. He is the chief strategy officer and from a quick Google search is.. "A Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), or chief strategist, is an executive who is responsible for assisting the chief executive officer with developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining strategic initiatives."
So yea.. this move is totally fine. More important he has executive knowledge then football, which he seems to also have working in the cfl for a time and playing college. He has a wealth of knowledge in what his job looks to entail though.

I hope - got a soft spot for the Browns. Gee, that sounded... nevermind, I'm a sick chicken. EDIT: Juggs - Are you serious w/that avatar? Cuz I said it first, Eagle he shall be.

If Coughlin does go to Philly, its because of how pissed he is at the nightMara's for forcing him out of NJ. If he gets hired hope he trades theEagles 1st for Eli, fml

IDK who the owner has to answer to aside from the fans. Like Favre going to the Vikes, who would Coughlin be most valuable to, intimately familiar with both teams?!?! And where would he wanna go for the revenge factor, if any? Think about it. And it's a short commute, he wouldn't even have to move. So much icing on the cake.

Someone else correct me if I'm wrong, but the front office let that be a technicality to save face. Often done in the business world, but kinda silly here, as it's common knowledge the Giants were done with him - whatever, however. He did not quit outta nowhere, and adamantly denied that he was retiring.
