I'd lean towards Matt Ryan. Both are pretty similar for their output this year (with Dalton being a little better), but Dalton plays a top 10 pass defence this week against Arizona while Ryan plays a bottom 10 pass defence against Indy.

Normally I'd agree, but the Falcons are in a huge slump. I would take Dalton simply because I think there's a good chance the Falcons continue struggling and Ryan has a bad day as a result. Ryan was great to start the year, but recently, he's been much worse. Dalton has been a lot more consistent.

I'm sure I've seen your name before. Are you from the now-defunct NFL forums from 3 or 4 years ago??? Always excited to see an old face name, but welcome either way. FWIW, I would've started Ryan for sure, not even close. At home (CIN is not), after a bye, opponent Colts a very week pass DEF (somewhere @ 280 pass ypg, one of the worst in the league). Who did you pick? Normally I'd agree, but the Falcons are in a huge slump. I would take Dalton simply because I think there's a good chance the Falcons continue struggling and Ryan has a bad day as a result. Ryan was great to start the year, but recently, he's been much worse. Dalton has been a lot more consistent. Falcons lost last 2 after 3 wins in a row. They are 6-3. Not what I'd call a real slump. They've had 2 weeks to prepare, fresh legs for Freeman. Also, Dalton didn't look too great last week against a mediocre team (HOU). Receivers had drops too. Some were questioning how good they really were. Guess that's always gonna happen, but still.

It is a real slump. W/L doesn't matter in fantasy, but Ryan and the entire Falcons just haven't been good in several weeks. That does matter.

Lost by a FG and by 1 pt wks 8 & 9, sub-500 teams but hardly a blowout. Ryan already has 3 TDs and they are winning. Dalton hasn't played yet, but I can't be wrong, or too wrong. haha
