I could've sworn there was a thread made about chess before, but I couldn't find one. So sorry if one already exists

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone on here plays chess? I played when I was really young, and then got back into it last May.

I know the rules and can play. But I haven't studied the games or famous openings or anything.

If you want to study an interesting game with certain opening moves and strategies, look up diplomacy.

I figure most people know how the pieces move. I'm more wondering if anyone here plays competitively, or used to.

I looked up Diplomacy. Seems cool, although I'm not completely sure I understand it. lol

Morkim I played endless games of diplomacy and axis & allies as a kid. Excellent games. I'm in your boat with chess. It's way too smart for me, so I stick to Hearthstone (which was designed with Chess in mind).

I play a little. I used to play more many years ago. I don't know much more than how the pieces move. Now I only play my grandson. He's seven. Who do you think wins?

He has a really good coach, his step dad. He beats me every time. I let him of course. hahahahahahah not.
