When you title this dear black people, that's a judgement on all black people. Why not title it "dear murderers"? After all, you seem to be adressing this at criminals, not black people. inoccent, that's because there's been an explosion of discussion about one issue that I take very seriously. Just a coincidince you don't need to worry haha.

I'm not sure what I said that was offensive. I am wrong? We wanna see change. We're screaming injustice, yet we steal from and kill each other. I don't think anything you said was offensive. I think everybody would agree black on black crime is a sad thing and we would all like for it to stop. But the thing is, I don't think there should be any prerequisite before people take the black lives matter movement seriously. I don't think black on black crime should have to decline before people say "okay, I'm going to start supporting BLM". People should support the BLM movement regardless. BLM activists are right to "scream injustice", but they shouldn't be screaming it at other black people. That's because black people are not at fault for the collective position of their race in this country. Also, I just want to point this out to you - White on white crime is pretty much just as bad. www.vox.com/2014/8/21/6053811/white-on-white-murderwww.theroot.com/articles/culture/2012/04/whiteonwhite_crime_it_goes_against_the_false_media_narrative.htmlI only point that out because there is never media outrage over "white on white" violence or "hispanic on hispanic" violence or anything. So don't be fooled by the media's bullshit always acting like black on black crime is some outrageous epidemic. It goes on with all races. The media just likes to racially target black people and make them look bad while ignoring the rest. Edit: You believe what you want to believe. I honestly don't think it's really my place as a white dude to tell you how you should feel or what you should believe about your own race's movement. So just take my post as not much more than at least food for thought.

Race on race violence in any combination is a broken phrase. It doesn't mean anything. If I kill a white person, white peopleare not to blame for my actions. A race shouldn't see consequences of the actions of a criminal or even a group of criminals who look like that race. The only way black on black crime exists is when you start categorizing certain crimes to create a stereotype. As MO pointed out, it happens because people are more likely to kill people who live near them, regardless of race. That means most violence is usually going to be homogenous, just by statistics.
Black culture does kind of own violence though. When it does, it's usually guys like Cole being played by white record companies, or its white guys on cable news pushing that stereotype.

No it isn't all blacks, but black on black crime is a known issue in our communities. I just heard on the radio today that the city of Baltimore has over 200 homicides this year, more than last year's total. I guarantee the majority of them stem from black on black crime.

So just take my post as not much more than at least food for thought. I don't have to watch TV to know the facts. I'm well aware that blacks are still the minority. I also know that other races have the same crime rates, but for some reason, our race seems to be the most affected by it. I've looked into the eyes of other young black males all my life. I've been and lived in areas where blacks are strung out, dealing drugs and prostituing themselves. No other race in America has that same social deficiency. It's like we were given freedom but had no idea what to do with it. Instead of standing together and building nice communities, we allowed drugs, self hatred and government assistance to warp our minds and hate each other. People claim there's no way out the hood and that's bull. People claim the man holds is back and that's bull! No I don't all killing and crime must cease for the blm movement to be taken a seriously, but it definitely has to decrease and black people need to wake up and realize how powerful a people we are. We need to stop using our living circumstances as a means to justify hustling or robbing, stealing and killing. We need to be wiser, like JCole and realize that money, power and respect are not the real goal in life. Flashy jewelry, expensive cars and houses don't define you! Cole is one rapper that isnt being pipm by a label to spew poison to his own people. I know lables use black rappers to promote a certain lifestyle. This in turn causes envy and greed. Which leads to crime and the destruction of our communities. We ad black people have to stop wanting to race to the top of the ladder and learned to appreciate the climb. Until that changes. Until the majority of blacks in America are delivered from being brain washed we'll always be looked at sideways.

Very humble, or maybe self deprivating, to blame those in the ghetto instead of those who built, police it, and refuse to fund it. How can you build a nice community without a functional grocery store, a decent school, or govt services like fire and police. If you can't sell a house, you can't have a nice community. It's true that you also can't have a nice community when criminals walk the streets, but maybe if they had a job, a family, a car and some food they wouldn't be selling anymore ah? White people just get all this for free, and we still kill each other all the time. There have been 200 homicides in Baltimore, but I wonder how many happened in the white half where the municipality budget funds schools, police departments, housing etc. Probably the only ones that happen are white drug crime on the JH campus or at UM, if that's even in Baltimore I'm not sure. Black America's problems aren't solved by rappers telling people to get along. If they were, they would have been solved in the 90s when tupac and biggy were doing it. They get solved if a black boy isn't starving, discriminated againstz beaten by the pigs, dropped out of his shit high school or in prison for putting food on his plate. White people do those things. Black people just finish the cycle with a bullet, and even then, only at the same rates white people do.

I don't just blame the system because we're given choices and free will in life. Granted, our environment was created and set up for failure, it doesn't have to be the case. I blame a lot of our fathers fathers and mothers mothers who didn't take responsibility to raise their children with standards and goals. Who settle for welfare and low income housing. Who taught us the latest dance but didn't teach us how to change the oil on a car. Who laughed and prompted us to use foul language and slang instead of teaching us how to read and write correctly before school. This stuff is deep man. It goes waaaaaaayyy back. I don't know when blacks in America became such a sad case, but it wasn't always like this.

You sound like a well rounded, good, smart man theWILLmckoy. Where to me Juggs sounds like an angry, riot inducing, racist. Just a fact. No offense Juggs, but that's what I hear. For you to call this post "disgusting" until you find out Will is black, is exactly the problem. And to say Black on black murders don't hold water is even worse. BLM seems to me to only care about white on black things. Doesn't Jamyla Bolden's life matter to you or them? I applaud you Mr. Will. And I just don't understand you Juggs. (I know that sounds harsh Juggs, try and not take it that way. It's just what I hear when I read your posts. I know we have beat this subject to death, but Will brought a new angle.) Haha I was not even going to come here but Will inspired me.

Wow an angry, riot inducing racist? Lol who's the angry one then? I misinterpreted that post and apologized, but there's no need to get personal and then pussy out and say don't take it personal Craig440. I was wrong assuming his post was condescending, and that I admitted although it got barried at the bottom of page one. My opinion on the issue isn't determined by who I'm arguing with, and what I said to Will is no different than what I say to you. You're absolutely right when you say you can't understand me that's for sure.
