I've played fantasy football a few times and I've have a good grasp of the game. However, it seems like quarterbacks are undervalued when it comes to drafting. It's strange to me, because I've always thought they produce the most points and they certainly did for me last year. I understand that some leagues have different rules and what not, but how isn't QB the top priority in every league? They are responsible for half the teams (ff) points most sundays.

There are a few quarterbacks that are taken early in drafts (Rodgers, Brady, Manning, Brees) but after those 4, the next 10 or so are all equal in terms of fantasy. The reason RBs have such a high value is because there's alot of QBs who can get you 20 points, but there's a small handful of RBs that can get you 20 points

It's not really that simple. Quarterbacks go low despite scoring the most points because there are more than enough to go around, just like scarcity in real economics. There are only 5 or so elite running backs, and there only 20 or so reliable ones. Since twelve teams need 4-5 rbs each, the best running backs will always go #1. Demand for starting QBs is only 12 or 10, so like real economics, the cost is much, much lower.you really see this played out in auction leagues

There are enough QBs to go around, but it is a position that you don't want to undervalue and miss out on by drafting the position too late. I look at QB's schedules, especially week 15 and week 16. Since Tom Brady has Tenn at home week 15 and Tannehill has a home game against the Colts week 16, plus Tannehill has a nice looking schedule during Brady's suspension, they made for a good combo. In order to get the position filled to a good schedule, I believe it is worth drafting those QBs a round earlier than expected. You don't want to see that your elite QB has @seattle or some other tough defense during the biggest weeks.

We're going to hold him under 15 hehe. Brady is a very underrated fantasy qb though. Same with Cam, Eli, and most of all Stafford. My foremost advice is font take Rodgers or Luck this year. They are going way, way too high. Wait and snag a guy like breed, Wilson or Stafford.
