If everything cityofchamps is true... and I'm trying to be impartial, but do ya think Brady put Goodell between a rock and a hard place? Destroyed his phone, asked for a fine instead of any penalties and admission of guilt - basically a bribe? Am I the only one, or is that comical? No way that was gonna fly. I saw a reduction to 2 weeks, but he got greedy and wanted to want scott-free to not tarnish his image. Brady wouldn't miss $5 million bucks, much less what he was probably hoping for < $1 mil. No way would Goodell look like a spineless scumbag, especially with no evidence to the contrary for Brady and his destruction of evidence. IDK what happened really. Maybe his destruction of the phone was enough. EDIT: Listening to the Brady camp, it's ROFLMAO funny. Saying destroyed phone records are irrelevant. Who destroys your phone? Really? Anyway, this move is strictly to save face. Just can't imagine anyone believes this will be successful. Next thing you know, Brady will come out and say having a cell phone weighed him down too much and he wanted to lose the weight. Or that having a cell phone was causing him emotional distress and he wanted to stop getting calls and emails about this.

Jindred Yes me and skid do have $100.00 bet. He said Brady would sue in court. I said he would not. My reasoning was he is guilty of knowing if not ordering the slightly illegal balls. And if he and his assistants were under oath in a court of law, the assistants would sing like canarys. If they or Brady lied they would face jail time. Which is a whole lot different than an NFL suspension. Now this is where it may get complicated. I would have to go back and look at the exact verbage. But thats the bet I remember. If or if not BRADY sues. I heard today the NFL filed a suit to uphold their decision. Filed in a court of law. So in my opinion if the NFL sues or the NFLPA sues, I win. Brady and the assistants may end up in court due to the NFL suing. But I doubt it. I would think Brady would just shut up since he knows he would be on the stand and everyone would be watching. So I expect the NFL suit to be not contested by Brady. haha. I knew I should have been a lawyer. So since I'm such a nice guy patriotsk1d if you want to concede now that I was right, I will let you off the hook for the money. I will just make you serve a sentence one week with a charger avatar. haha. That's a plea deal option. Or you can refuse the plea deal and ride it out. Brady will not sue. MarchingOn Brady and Hardy same punishment! Sounds crazy huh! I agree. I heard a long conversation on sports talk today and they said the crime Brady/Patriots did is not the reason for the long suspension. It's the cover up and distruction of evidence that pissed Goodell off. He doesn't like to be lied to. That's what they said. If Brady would have just said "yeah I like the ball a little softer. I'm sorry" he would have got off almost scott free. Probably just a fine. But to try and make Goodell look bad back fired. If the NFLPA sues on Brady's behalf you're claiming that Brady didn't sue? So if I sue Walmart, I didn't really sue them right? My lawyer did. On my behalf. That's a good question. But your second sentence is dumb. Is the NFLPA Brady's lawyer? If the NFLPA sues, I may have to think about that. I do believe he said Brady will sue. I'm giving him an out. The suit is already filed. The NFL is suing. Brady will concede. He doesn't want to turn into a Rodger Clemens. There is no reason for the NFLPA or Brady to sue now. It's already on the agenda. If the NFL loses the suit the suspension will not hold up. It will never go to court. Brady destroyed evidence. They aren't that stupid to put him and the assistants on the stand. Besides It's not your decision. It's up to patriotsk1d If he doesn't want my plea deal, which is way generous, I will proceed. haha. Brady and his lawyer will not sue. The NFLPA is not Brady's lawyer. So if Brady's lawyers sue, yes that is Brady suing. But there is no reason to sue. It's already in the courts. The NFL is so confident they filed right away before announcing the verdict of the appeal. They are taunting Brady to give it a try. He's not that stupid, I don't think.

This has turned from Brady failing to cooperate in an investigation, to willful obstruction of an investigation.
Simply put for those who do not want to read the statement, Brady destroyed his cell phone AFTER Ted Wells requested information from it.

They act for people all the time. If they sue it would be ON BEHALF of Brady. If the Teamsters went to court for me, it'd be on my behalf. Saying the NFLPA suing means Brady isn't is silly. And you're misunderstanding why the NFL went to court already. lol

Also, according to Judy Battista, the ruling also noted that the phone that Brady used before the phone that he destroyed was NOT destroyed, which contradicts his claim that he always destroys his cell phones. Brady keeps on digging himself into a bigger hole. Does he want to turn into the NFL's version of A-Rod? Just come clean.

Baseball likes Arod. Or at least the Yankees and sports talk folk do. Wrong i don't know who you watch/listen to. But it seems a lot of Yankee fans are forgiving when you know, he plays well. Shows like his and hers, PTI etc have talked sort of sympathetically. So yeah, they're coming around on ARod.

cityofchampslol so Brady maybe or maybe not having any knowledge about footballs being deflated somehow compares to PED use in baseball. And less not forget everyone expected this decision so do not even bother getting excited. This will be won in court, just like every other case with no evidence. And there is no evidence that any cell phone was destroyed. That report is no different than the Mortenson report that claimed 10 balls were at least 2.5 PSI less than the required PSI, although I doubt you even remember that report that started this entire thing. Somehow possibly having knowledge of an equipment violation that is listed as a 25,000 dollar fine is worse than potentially killing someone while driving under the influence.
