As a fan who has no skin in the game: - The pats shouldn't do that. If it's a flight cancellation, there's nothing he can do. - I cannot believe Mike Tomlin is allowed to coach in the NFL after trying to trip Jacoby Jones. - Suspending brady for deflategate is a bit over the top. Fining the draft picks is even worse. Fire the equipment guys and suspend / fire Billicheck. - I didn't know about what Patsk1d said about only continuing spygate 1 day after the rule change, but I honestly think that's something you shouldn't be able to get away with even if it's not a written rule. I've got no problem with suspensions, fines, and suspicion over that. I never support taking away draft picks since you hurt the kids and the fans. - DUI's always get underpunished. TJ Houzmandzadeh killed a man behind the wheel and spent less than 6 months in prison. Bell should get a year, and Blount too if it's as bad, although I don't know enough to say on that case. -What Patskid said about the NFLPA is true, but it's a weak deflection to the fact that the Pats are in the wrong on that penalty. I fully support the Patriots on this. It is his fault. It's not his fault the flight got cancelled, but it is his fault he reserved the last flight. This is like your parents asking you to clean your room before they get home, and then you wait until 30 minutes before.

It's Bill Belicheat. Do we expect anything less scumbaggy from him? I honestly can't wait for the Patriots to suck. Just so all the cockroaches that make up 99.99999999999999% of their fanbase goes away. Are you trolling or serious. That's for you to decide

No matter what patsk1d says about Butler not being a part of the NFLPA case, the Patriots were in the wrong there, pure and simple. - Mike Tomlin could have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. It didn't really slow Jones down and Cortez Allen ran him down. I will admit the video doesn't look good and Tomlin as a coach should have been aware of where he was, but he got punished for it, so at the very least he should be given the benefit of the doubt. It wasn't blatantly intentional like that douchebag Jets coach that formed a wall along the sideline. - Maybe for the deflategate, but Brady has not acted like an innocent man and has been caught giving inconsistent information to investigators. The NFL also had the right to suspend him for not cooperating fully with the investigation (e.g. refusing to give up his cell phone, which he was in his rights to do, but it makes him look worse in this situation) - Would you give everyone who gets a DUI a year long punishment and not just football players (since they are considered role models)? Would you have every person who gets arrested for a DUI in prison for a year? Because not only would that clog the prisons, it would also cost the states and governments millions taking care of those people (who may not be criminals at heart, just made a simple mistake at the time), it would probably require a hike in taxes to take care of the aforementioned cost. Errors in judgement should not be judged as year long punishments. Also, harsh punishments will not stop crimes like DUIs. We saw how effective prohibition was. People will just get smarter at how to hide them.

That's for you to decide Well then who's the .000000000000001 fan? Your mom! Alright I'm trolling lol but honestly tho I really don't like sports fans. At least the loud, obvious homer, uneducated ones that post crap against any team that's not theirs in comment sections. Pretty much all of Bleacher Report. 12 year old Xbox live users. PEOPLE THAT TYPE IN ALL CAPS!!! Like Chad. I hated Chad. But I also loved Chad because of how homerish stupid he was

Wow. It is amazing how a simple jest can get under your skin so much. This wasn't directed at you you know... Got it, it is was just another pointless jab at the Patriots who I obviously do not care about at all. Just to let you know none of my jabs against the Steelers or Ben are directed at you, just towards the Steelers... Of course. Except when they are in response to everything I post about the Patriots (which seem to be the only times you post something about the Steelers). You can decide to ignore me if you want. If you know you are right, and if you are secure in your own beliefs, then you don't have to prove anything to anyone else. Just support the Patriots and let people call you stupid for it. There will always be someone who calls us stupid for whatever decision we make, it is inevitable. I may be wrong from your point of view, you may be wrong from my point of view. That doesn't mean our points of view are wrong. That just means we disagree with each other. I will let you have your opinions, let me have mine.

COC your prison analogy was absolute garbage. Please reread and think deeply about how stupid that was.

Sorry, that was a bit ruder than usual. I'll articulate:
Why the hell did you bring up prison? I suggested he should be suspended for a year, not be put in jail for a long sentence. Then, you proceeded to break down why your own analogy was a bad idea to make it seem like your words came out of my mouth. White people or famous black athletes don't get major prison time for DUIs AKA Housh getting off with DUI manslaughter, I even mentioned that in my post. How could you have reached the conclusion I thought Bell should be going away? I don't get how you ended up there. As for your defense of DUIs not being serious because punishments wouldn't stop them: that doesn't make sense, and it's a deflection of the issue. We're not talking about preventing DUIs. This isn't Mothers Against Drunk Driving. I'm talking about penalizing an NFL player. I'm not a humanitarian or a judge, just a football fan. There's no reason to start playing the moral objectivity game when we're just talking about league discipline.

To be fair to COC, when you read your post it does sound like you want Bell in jail for a year. You said TJ got 6 months, and you thought Bell should get a year.
