So let me get this straight, Matt Leinart didnt pan out and Carson Palmer didnt live up to expectations(but was still a solid QB), so that means every USC QB is a bust, even though Kessler didnt even though it is a completely different system and coaching staff from what Leinart and Palmer played in? That doesnt make much sense. Kessler put up big numbers last year against strong competition in a more modern like NFL offense. If he puts up the same production next year then there is no reason he wouldn't be a first round pick if not top 10. I think this is the first post I have ever agreed with you on. Maybe over the past 6 months lol.

Don't forget Sanchez and JDB lol...
But seriously, judging a kid by what school he went do is always a bad idea.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Palmer the owner of a middling 0-1 playoff record? I recall him losing to the Steelers once and losing to Carolina this year on the bench. He's been beyond inconsistent even at his best when he was in cincy. I would say that he has been a failed investment since he never really took the franchise QB mantle at any point and honestly never was good enough to contend for the SB. Edit: looked it up. He's 0-2 but he's never started a playoff game. The second loss was against Mark Sanchez and the jets, where he came off the bench and got picked off to lose. Palmer has started playoff games. He started against the steelers when kimo? fell on his leg.

Sanchez is fair. John David Booty and Matt Barkley were 5th and 4th round picks. Either way the one thing Leinart, Barkley, Sanchez, David Booty, and Palmer have in common is they were products of Pete Carroll's recruiting and system. The same cannot be said about Kessler.

The past 3 years QB's have NOT been overdrafted. This year there were 2 and neither was a surprise. Last year 3 guys got drafted, but Manziel and Bridgewater were drafted very late instead. Manuel in 2013 was a shocker, but he was the only QB drafted in the 1st round. Things have changed over the years now. Cook and Hackenberg are the only guarantees to be drafted in the 1st round unless something crazy happens. As much as I love Ohio State, it wouldn't surprise me if Cardale Jones stock falls this year. Lets not forget that a lot of people said the same thing a year ago that the 2015 class would have a good draft class, yet here we are now and lots of people don't trust either Winston or Mariota. NFL teams should know by now that USC QB's never pan out anyway. Kessler isn't even worth taking in the 2nd round right now IMO. I'd rather have Dak Prescott or Jared Goff over him. If he puts up the same production next year then there is no reason he wouldn't be a first round pick if not top 10. I have literally not seen one mock draft yet that has Kessler in the 1st round. I see him as a 3rd round pick right now. He lacks arm strength and can't throw beyond 15 yards consistently. Sounds more like a game manager to me, and game managers don't get drafted in the top 10. At best he's going to rise as a 2nd round pick. He's not going ahead of Cook, Hackenberg, or Jones. QB class is strong this year, but Kessler is the 7th best QB in for next years draft IMO.

He was anything but a game manager last year and threw the deep ball very well. I am honestly not sure what you are looking at, because the film of him last year tells a completely different story unless you want to look at the Kiffin/Kessler film.

Hack to the 49ers? Okay I'm cool with this. Just to be safe let's just hope Cleveland plays themselves out of the top 5.

If Jacksonville is #1, why would they still be so committed to Bortles that they would pass on Cook and Jones (top 5 picks by your own admission).
Again, it seems like a bad choice to think Tennessee would spend a top 10 pick on an offensive tackle when we just draft Poutasi and still have Taylor Lewan from last year's top 10. Tunsil and and Staley are much better prospects than Poutasi, but it still seems like an unlikely choice with such a high pick. It's doubly strange when Jalen Ramsey, Kendall Fuller, Nate Andrews and Cam Sutton are all sitting there available. Tennessee really needs a free safety and a third corner.
You don't have Jared Goff in the top 50 players? So you don't think he'll declare I guess?
