I don't want Arik Armstead because I think he's a bust, but he's actually not a bad fit with the Titans. We run an oversized 5tech in Ropati Pitoitua. It's not really a need at all, but the player is a good fit. Obviously I have no qualms with Mariota at this point.
Picks that I love: Kevin White falling. I think there's going to be more demand for other positions and other wide receivers. He'll fall farther than he should. Melvin Gordon to Detroit. I think he's certain to go in the stretch between Arizona, Dallas, Baltimore and Detroit. Brett Hundley as QB #3. I still think it's too low but so many people are putting him in round 4 or lower these days. I bet he goes round 1 or high 2. David Johnson in round 2. Anybody who watched senior bowl week knows this guy can run with the best. He's being overlooked because of his school.
Picks that make me sad inside: Dorial Green-Bechkam, Marcus Peters, and Kevin Johnson all in round 1. Those players were completely built on hype and are going to fall out of round 2. No chance any of them get their name called on the first night.
Ronald Darby, Laken Tomlinson, and Agholor are going in round 1. Breshad Perriman needs to be moved up more than a full round. PJ Williams fell way too far. One failed drug test does not equal bottom of the second round for a fast, 6'2'' DB.
Maxx Williams will probably not be the first TE drafted after his combine interviews, which reportedly went terribly. Even if he is, I don't think he goes in the first two rounds, maybe not even in round 3.
The biggest question mark though is the guys not even here: Denzel Perryman, Devin Funchess, Hau'oli Kikaha, Ali Marpet, Cedric Ogbuehi, Hroniss Grassu, Paul Dawson, Gerrod Holliman, Senquez Golson. I can't imagine any falling out of the top 64, much less all of them.
Forgot Damarious Randall. He needs a spot too.

No to a RB in the 2nd Round. No way. Kikaha is still on the board and we take a RB? Absolutely not. We shouldn't go after a RB any earlier than the 4th Round. We have too many other needs including Safety, Pass Rush, Tight End, and Left Guard.
I don't mind the CB selection, but I actually like Eric Rowe better than Collins at this point.

Oh god I'd be so upset if this is how the draft broke down. Still holding out hope that the Steelers love Diggy as much as I do.

I love David Johnson, I was waiting for 3 rounds to steal him for the Seahawks in the community mock draft. He reminds me a bit like Bell, and I'd be ecstatic if the Steelers could land him. Disagree on Peters and Johnson, I'd gaurentee they're first rounders.

Well, if it makes you feel better, Kikaha won't still be Still, the Steelers draft a runningback in the second is a wild call for sure. I mean, the Bengals did it last year with Jeremy Hill and it worked when they had a starter. But the problem is that Leveon Bell is not Gio Bernard. Ameer Abdullah isn't even a great value there. There are tons of picks you can take apart in this mock and any other because the needs make no sense. DJ to the Packers, Abdullah to Pitt, Hundley to SF, Ajayi to Buffalo, Erving to the Jaguars, Armstead to the Titans, Bennett to the Ravens, Collins to the Bengals, Williams to the Pats etc. There are plenty of picks in my mocks that don't reflect needs either. It's fine to do that, unless you have an elite starter like Bell creating a situation where a pick like Abdullah wouldn't even have a chance to work, or putting Hundley behind Kaepernick.

Disagree on Peters and Johnson, I'd gaurentee they're first rounders. www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000472963/article/washington-cb-marcus-peters-i-learned-from-my-mistakesI hear an interview like this. I see him completely flub the softballest of softballs. Then when I hear he failed personal interviews despite his obvious rehearsed responses, it tells me he's still the same idiot he was in college who will never get better. He repeats the same thing over and over again: I learned from my mistakes, the reports are false, and I need to be more mature, I have a kid, so that means I can't fuck up again and you have to trust me, I have a kid. This is a guy desperately clinging to a paycheck and absolving himself of actual responsibility. "Q: What do you think of Trae Waynes? A: That's your decision." So... basically you can't answer a single question that wasn't rehearsed and doesn't fit your repetitive list of answers given to you by your agent. AKA you haven't taken any responsibility and are being coached to sound like you have. Moving on: Check out PFF's scouting report on Kevin Johnson. It mirrors what I see and it seems like everyone else it getting it wrong on this guy: "Johnson is also regarded as a first-round draft pick by many, but in a similar way to Justin Hardy at wide receiver he’s someone that neither myself nor Sam see the hype with. He does have great balance which stops him from being beaten immediately off the line where so much damage can be done, but there are too many question marks in the rest of his game. He doesn’t possess great top-level speed on the field. This will lead to him losing plenty of one-on-one battles with NFL receivers and at times it looked like he was deliberately playing off to protect his speed. The need to jump up from there and attack under routes led to him being beaten on double moves on more than one occasion. Like Waynes, he too can be a bit of a sloppy tackler at times, tilting his head down and trying to tackle blind far too often which led to 10 misses last season. Signature Stat: Missed a tackle once every 5.1 attempted, tied for the ninth-worst of all draft-eligible cornerbacks in this class." My critiques of Johnson on film were: Too slow, too small, can't lay a hit, inadequate range and reaction time. Late round draft pick. Knowing what we know about this year's corner class, it would be insane for any team to look at Johnson in the top 10 at the position. He's got red flags everywhere and most other corners don't have these problems. Most other corners weren't 147 pounds freshman year and are at the max frame they're capable of (aka very injury prone).

www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000470180/article/top-prospect-marcus-peters-blames-self-for-dismissalThis article says it all. He doesn't deny the fight, nor that it was his fault, but refuses to comment on any specifics. AKA because he knows that if people believed the report from his coaches that he choked his coach he wouldn't get a paycheck. What a fucking scam! You know what happens when you choke out your coach in the NFL? You go to work at Mcdonalds. With millions on the line, if he didn't choke the coach, then he would call out the coach! He would defend himself and describe his account of what happen. He would tell his side of the story. Instead, he's pushing it under the rug. You can't refute the report, but admit that it was your fault and not refute the choking accusation. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Well I'm hoping that guys like Tomlin, Lake, Butler, Gay, and Harrison can set him straight. Trust me I'm concerned as well, but hell they're the Pittsburgh Fucking Steelers, if he can't get his shit straight with them then he has no business being in the NFL. If he gets picked by the Patriots, no one would bat an eye, and they'd call it a good pick and assume that he'd have a fine career because of their culture. Well the Steelers should be held in the same regard. That being said I wish LeBeau was still here because I'd feel 10x better about taking him, if he can't get through to someone, then I question if that person even has a pulse.

Hmmmm...
The head coach tries to trip Jacoby Jones on a return Antwon Blake arrested for public drunkeness Bell and Blount get suspended for drug use Blount basically quits the team Big ben gets suspended for sexual assault/rape Taamu suspended for DUI Harrison suspended for the shot on Colt McCoy Chris Rainey domestic violence Hines Ward DUI Jeff Reed public intoxication Matt Spaeth, public intoxication, public urination (LOL) Jonathon Decker obstruction of justice Santonio Holmes for weed Cedrick Reed for domestic violence James Harrison for simple assault, breaking and entering.
That's just since 2008.
I'm not saying the Steelers are a team of criminals, but I don't think you get to make the excuse that your team culture will turn around a violent idiot from doing more stupid shit when your team is exactly average in arrests since 2000, and above average since 08.
