Mini wheats are the worst cereal of all time. If you mean not saturated with sugar and good for you, yeah, I guess they suck.

Mini wheats are the worst cereal of all time. You must be thinking about the regular shredded wheats. A little like eating straw. If you mean not saturated with sugar and good for you, yeah, I guess they suck. They don't have to be loaded with sugar to be good, just delicious. That shredded wheat stuff just isn't that tasty. Like I said, the mini-wheats were either apple-cinnamon or strawberry - think they had raisin too. They were sweet enough, but not loaded with sugar - IDK about the 'frosted' ones. Blows me away that Lucky Charms still exists. Parents didn't know any better 40 years ago, but now? You just gotta say no.

I signed up and voted.
Its hard for me to choose my personnel favorite, but I would say mine was Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I also love Lucky Charms and Fruit Loops as well.

You just gotta say no. Yeah, I've actually had the mini frosted wheat and I believe the fruit infused one as well. They're pretty decent. Lucky Charms is one of my wifes' favorites and I've always enjoyed em...What happened 40yrs ago? Why do you I always end up talking food?

Well, you've brought up food twice. Me too, but in the same thread (about my new friends, the eggplant and Brussels sprout stalk). At least mine were healthy. Just threw '40' out there, nice round number, when people weren't as health conscious and/or knew not the implications/differences between fat, sugar, carbs, cholesterol - just for starters. We got whatever cereal we wanted. Most parents are pickier today.

Many of the parents won't let their kids eat any food/snacks they don't provide themselves. In all fairness they are higher educated and wealthier than 'most', so probably not representative of all. "Obv" just cuz they still sell it? I couldn't argue, especially that there are so many more options out there than 40 years ago - and not just cereal. Generics, and instant and microwavable everything.

Figures...they've got it set up so that Lucky Charms will go up against Crunch Berries in the second round.
