Grades:
Tampa: Jameis Winston: A. I've seen nothing I can really point at Winston's game and say he's not going to be a great pocket passer. He's the best pro prospect since Eli.
Tennessee: Marcus Mariota: A+ Obviously I wouldn't make this pick if I didn't love it.
Jacksonville: Leonard Williams: B+. Although he's a better scheme fit in Jacksonville than in a 3/4, and he's a great athlete, I feel he's overrated and won't be an elite defensive tackle on the level of Suh, McCoy and Casey.
Oakland: Amari Cooper: A-. My favorite player at this position. Not an A because I would have taken Beasley here.
Washington: Kevin White: B. I like the pick and the player, but not phenomenally. I like the idea of ignoring needs, but I don't think Kevin White was the best guy here at all.
New York: Randy Gregory: B+. Gregory is overrated and lower ranked on my board than Beasley. But, I feel like Todd Bowles can turn him into a star anyway.
Chicago: Dante Fowler Jr: C+. Some huge concerns with this technique, and is not as good as Beasley, who again should have been the pick. I also would have taken Shane Ray here instead, or Shelton, and would have looked at Brett Hundley too. I'm not a big Fowler fan, especially not in a 4-3.
Atlanta: Vic Beasley: A+. Love it. I was between him and Mariota at #2.
New York: Danny Shleton: C. Have never understood why he's risen so quickly, other than comparing him to big nose tackles who have risen up before. The Giants also have 4 defensive tackles who I like. Hankins is a future pro-bowler and I don't believe the Giants would just give up on Bromley. Plus, this isn't a good scheme fit, and Shane Ray was still here.
St. Louis. Brandon Scherff: A. The first lineman at #10? That's just good value, even if it ignored bigger needs.
Minnesota. DeVante Parker: A+. Again, my pick, so I like it.
Cleveland. Alvin Dupree: B-. I like Dupree, but this was a reach. He's not as talented as two other pass rushers left in my opinion and isn't a big need for Cleveland, who have Barkevious Mingo and Paul Kruger locked in.
New Orleans. Trae Waynes: B+ Waynes has been my #1 corner since Ifo Ekpre-Olomu tore his ACL. He's very good value at this point, and he fills a need at an otherwise expensive position that New Orleans couldn't afford in FA.
Miami. Todd Gurley: A. I'm glad he didn't fall like some think he will. Gurley is the only runnigback in the class with elite measurables and great tape. He's a true feature back that is going to remind people of Steven Jackson as soon as he hits the field.
San Francisco. Andrus Peat: C-. I have a second round grade on Peat and don't think he can play RT, while Joe Staley is locked in on the left. The 49ers had bigger needs, and this wasn't a good value anyway.
Houston. La'El Collins: B. Collins is a top 10 talent, and this should be a steal. I don't give this an A because I am not a fan of moving tackles to guard, and with the Texans resigning Derek Newton, that means that this is a RG pick.
San Diego: Ereck Flowers: A+. I made this pick. Obviously I like it.
Kansas City: Landon Collins: B-. Collins is a fine player who fills a need for KC. But not Jaelen Strong? I was shocked.
Phildelphia: Shaq Thompson: D+. I totally agree with your reasoning that this is a Chip Kelly pick. Which is why it's not a good pick. Thompson is a tweener without a position who should not be taken in the first round. He has said himself that he is not going to play safety or runningback, and he has never played safety before. There were many better rushers available such as Shane Ray and OO.
You're a liar. You don't like Dupree.
And I picked for Cleveland twice you jerk.
