Some backstory: The dude was a bipolar schizophrenic, and his mom called the cops for help, not because she was in danger, but because she wanted her son to be taken to a mental hospital because he was having a mental crisis. The actions the cops took was completely excessive though. (I assume) The cops only pulled out their guns because the dude was holding a screwdriver, which I guess they perceived as a threat. But WTF made that situation a perceived threat from the cops' PoV? The dude was holding a screwdriver, which I know can be used as a weapon, but he made no moves with it whatsoever. He didn't show any signs of malicious intent with the thing. But they still just shot him dead in front of the mother. Damn.

Damn.I told myself not to come back to this thread and talk...but I cant help myself. I see that noone even responded and thought Juggs would at least. This is the kinda shit Im talking about. This is why I dislike popo. If this isnt at least manslaughter I dunno what is. Beware of a police state near you. End of mild rant.

I was raised in a small town in Pennsylvania called Monaca. A long time ago my brother was pulled over by some local cops there for a DUI,and taken to the police station. Instead of getting a tow truck to haul his car, one of the officers drove it back to the police station and wrecked it while driving it there. Once at the jail a couple officers beat my brother black & blue with their night sticks. Needless to say my brother got a good lawyer and won, can't remember what happened to the officers but his case was dismissed.
I have no problem with law enforcement officers as long as they are doing their job to Serve & Protect, I do have a problem when they cross the line and take matters into their own hands.

I didn't wanna come back to this thread either. You just know that any and everything you read here will make your blood boil. And there's not a damn thing you can do that will make a difference anytime soon. In most places, police are totally unchecked to the extent they don't make their bosses look bad. Everyone has a story. One of the two I have, I was a VICTIM , AND CHARGED with obstruction of justice, a total BS lie just to make sure I'd testify in court, which I 10000000% was gonna do. They pulled me out of my home, the attacker (who I knew and so did the police) was already outside, subdued and handcuffed. You make enough people mad as hell, they're 'not taking it anymore', but gunning down innocent policeman. I appreciate the 'Serve and Protect', but there are too few checks in place in most cities or towns to prevent gross abuse of power. It's almost lawlessness. Again, a matter of degree. All it take is a few bad apples. And IMO, law enforcement attracts that type.

A friend of mine video tapes cops. If he's not busy and sees some guy pulled over, he gets his phone out and starts video taping lol. It's 100% legal and he says he does it to keep them accountable. Lot less chance a cop does something out of line if he's on camera.

The only thing about the recent video that surprised me is that the murderer didn't turn his gun on the guy with the camera.

I seriously can't stand cops. About 50 percent of them abuse there power IMO. They get special privileges and then it goes to there head.
I never had any personnel problems with cops myself, but because of there reputation at times, I feel intimidated into not doing certain things. I remember one time driving home and I was stopped at a red light, and a cop was in front of me. When the light turned green, he didn't go and stood there for about 15 seconds. He wasn't paying attention to what he was doing, but I was too afraid to honk the horn at him as well, because then he would probably pull me over and make up something just to give me a ticket.
Here's some videos of bad cops on the road.

This just took place in NC. The cop is being charged with murder. I was about to post about it, but had second thoughts...so very sad.
