Players who played well for Carolina:
Thomas Davis - Heeeeeeeeeeeeeessss baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.. Thomas Davis, returning from his THIRD ACL tear in three years, has returned. Played pretty good, here's some GIFs:
Thomas Keiser - Great pressure all game, really thinking him and Greg Hardy should rotate a lot. Don't know if Keiser is a 3 down DE, but him and Hardy will be a great combo opposite of Big Money CJ. Don't forget Frank Alexander too, he was pretty impressive last two games.
Louis Murphy - Loving him. Sorry Shaggz and JeffB, but LOVING this guy. He should be the #2 WR without a doubt IMO. Murphy has been a great WR for us so far.
Josh Norman - He made some nice tackles. He didn't play great but he had two really good tackles. I'd like to see more of him as a CB but impressed with him tackling.
Gary Barnidge - He played pretty well. Last two games and in training camp, he has been bad. Last game, he looked pretty good. He'll make the roster, but don't know if he'll make an impact this year.
Frank Alexander - Been impressed with him. Albiet, he's playing against backups, but he's been good. Like what I am seeing of him, little less annoyed by that trade up now.
Bad things about that game for Carolina:
Our backup Offensive Tackles - Both Garry Williams and Bruce Campbell have been awful pass blocking this preseason. Really worried if we have an injury.
Jonathan Stewart's injury - Well, he was knocked to the sideline, hurt his ankle, and was carted to the locker room. X Rays are negative, and Rivera doesn't believe it is a high ankle sprain. He is day to day right now and we will learn more later.
The Cam Newton report:
He played well with his legs, but his accuracy passing was spotty all game. He had consitent pressure considering the Jets were blitzing everyone often. He didn't handle the pressure well but was good when he had time to throw.
