This is a travesty. Why even bother with Rich Gannon or Jim Plunkett. Then bench three of the greatest players of all time for inferior players just beacuse they played for the Raiders slightly longer or have one better stat that you twist around. Biletnikoff is probably a top 5 WR all time, Casper at his position as well, and Guy is the GOAT as far as punters are concerned. I don't know that much about other raiders, so I can't fault most of your other choices, but it seems like you completely flubbed the only people who matter on this list. When I get the time to do so, I will remake these. Tim Brown: 1070 receptions, 14734 yards, 99 TD, 9 pro bowls Fred Biletnikoff: 589 receptions, 8974 yards, 76 TD, 6 pro bowls
C'mon man!!!
I'd rank Brown 6th all time, Biletnikoff maybe 25th

How the hell is Bo not on here? Because he played 4 seasons and was never able to to finish a season. I was also wondering why Bo wasn't on there at first but his total inability to stay healthy and the fact that he only played 4 NFL seasons is a huge detractor, especially with the way bears75 makes his rosters. 23 career starts, never more than 9 in any one season, not a single thousand yard season. He was a highlight machine but couldn't be counted on to play more than half a season.

I been waiting for this...
No Bo Jackson. - who cares if his career was shortened. He was one of the best RB's of all time.
No Mike Haynes
No Sean Jones
No Lyle Alzado
No Bill Romanowski
No John Matuszak
No Anthony Smith
Other than that.....Good list.

Biletnikoff's career isn't measured in stats. He was the 2nd best vertical threat ever behind Moss and he was literally uncoverable in his era. He also made catches no one else could and seemingly never dropped a pass. Who cares about the stats of a legend?

When comparing punters I don't go by average yards kicked. Take Scifres for instance. He doesn't average that long but nails the ball inside the ten more often than not. I remember Guy used to piss me off with his coffin corner kicks. You had no chance to return it. Just last week Scifres had nine punts. All of them were field position changers.
My all time Raider roster
Jamarcus Russel. That's all.
Edit. Oh yeah and there were rumors that Guy filled the ball with helium due to how high it went.

I been waiting for this... No Bo Jackson. - who cares if his career was shortened. He was one of the best RB's of all time. No Mike Haynes No Sean Jones No Lyle Alzado No Bill Romanowski No John Matuszak No Anthony Smith Other than that.....Good list. Mike Haynes was a great player but roughly 60% of his career value came as a Patriot. If I added Haynes based on his two big seasons (84-85) then I'd have to leave off Charles Woodson who was arguably even better during his time with the Raiders while playing longer with them.
Sean Jones? Only started 32 games with the Raiders. His best season was with the Oilers , his 2nd and 3rd best seasons came with the Packers. In fact his best season with the Raiders was no better than his 7th best overall season. So he'd be much more deserving on a Oilers/Titans team or even a Packers team than he would a Raiders.
Lyle Alzado is very similar to Jones. I would have thought he was a no brainer for the team until I looked at his stats. He wasn't really that good with the Raiders. His 1st and 3rd best seasons came with the Broncos and his 2nd best season came as a Brown.
Bill Romanowski, I don't look at what players did for other teams so Broncos or 49ers maybe. More deserving as an Eagle even.
John Matuszak is similar to Alzado in how his reputation isn't backed up by his stats. A reoccurring theme that I'm noticing with the Raiders.
Anthony Smith was a bit of a one dimensional player. Pass rushing specialist that came in on passing downs early in his career. Had 36 sacks in his first three seasons with the Raiders while only starting 5 games. Found that interesting. He was then moved into a starter and started 45 games then next 4 seasons and his sacks dropped to 21.5 in the 4 seasons. Although his sacks dropped he did improve against the run and became a better overall player. Still he isn't quite deserving of a spot on this roster over Ike Lassiter.

He also made catches no one else could and seemingly never dropped a pass. Who cares about the stats of a legend? And Tim Brown wasn't a legend? When Biletnikoff retired after the 1978 season he was no better than the 5th best receiver in history behind (Paul Warfield, Don Maynard, Charley Taylor, & Lance Alworth). When Tim Brown retired in 2004 he was the 2nd best receiver in history behind only Jerry Rice.
Fred Biletnikoff: 15.2 Y/R, 47.2 Y/G Lance Alworth: 18.9 Y/R, 75.5 Y/G Charley Taylor: 14.0 Y/R, 55.2 Y/G Don Maynard: 18.7 Y/R, 63.6 Y/G Paul Warfield: 20.1 Y.R, 54.6 Y/G
All of these players are legends and direct contemporaries of Biletnikoff and they are have better stats. When the stats aren't in your favor you can't just pretend they aren't important.

Well I dont really take just stats into consideration for an all time roster.
I would take Bill Romanowski on my team in a heartbeat and Alzado and Matuszak wreaked havoc.
I'll give you Jones...but he was a favorite of mine.

Sorta defeats the spirit of this project.
