I've had bad migraines for the past five years. It just came out of nowhere. There's this nerve at the bottom of the brain that connects to the spinal chord, and when it gets irritated, by any means, it causes migraine headaches. Some people, for whatever reason, are more susceptible to this irritation of this nerve, and therefore are more prone to frequent migraine headaches. I see a neurologist for this, and once a month she injects two very large and sharp syringes into the back of my skull filled with beta blocker medicine, and every other month she injects botox all along my hair line and shoulders. Somehow this dulls future migraines. On top of that, I take daily migraine medication, and some of it I can only take before bedtime because it knocks me out.
Anyways, now that you know my medical history, last night I was having a severe migraine - the type I hadn't had in a long time. I'd been doing pretty well with them for the longest time, and hadn't had a bad flair up in forever. The medicine's been doing it's job, and I've only had the occasional mild headache here and there. Anyways, like I said, last night, I had a severe migraine, which had actually started from the moment I woke up yesterday and built up to a nauseating "bash your head against the wall, demon be out" kind of headache. I had no choice, I had to take an Amitriptyline, and this was right before the Colts/Giants game. (Dontcha just love how I ramble on about insignificant shit in my personal life and then bring it all back around to football?)
Always been a Giants fan, although this year I'm rooting for the Browns heavily, and this was before I saw Draft Day. The Giants have been letting me down. I thought last year was a fluke, or just an off year.
The Amitriptyline knocked me out cold two minutes into the game, and I awoke late in the fourth when the Giants where being blown out. I turned the game off. The Giants are supposed to have a "new and improved" offense that emphasizes the run game. Their defense is still a disappointment.
It's like Coughlin has lost the magic that he rode to two Superbowl victories. Wtf is up in NY? I mean, you never fire a coach after one bad season, especially a coach that has won you two Superbowls. But if this losing every year thing is going to become a theme for the Giants, Mara won't have any choice.
Eli's not looking too great either.
