Alot of people do. I do. I could care less that you dont. Sent from the Lone Star State Why do you/people care though? Ohh a rational reply. Well,Jindred...I just think it takes away from the integrity of the record. I never seen anyone do that when records are involved. I didnt see Emmitt Smith plan a celebration when he broke the rushing record. Didnt see Jerry Rice plan anything. Didnt see Favre plan nothing when he broke the all time record. I dont think Demarco Murray even planned anything when he broke Jim Browns record this week. I never seen ANYONE plan anything after breaking a record. Can the celebration not be spontaneous? Dont get me wrong...Peyton is one,if no the greatest QB ever...but this was stupid planning a celebration. Staging it. It tells me a little something about Peyton. Sent from the Lone Star State

"I can't believe they actually did it," Manning said in a tone that, in retrospect, was a tad hammy. "We sort of joked about it during the week. I'm a little bit hurt by the fact that they could do that – that they're kind of picking on me. I've lost my vertical leap. It's not there anymore. My side-to-side agility is not quite as quick."
I don't understand why you guys are mad at him.

I agree. If it was me breaking the record, I would have TO'd the celebration and planned something crazy. Are people really gonna get butt hurt about this? Change your tampons you pussies. Its a celebration not a dick, you dont have to get on it so hard. Not everyone can act like Calvin Johnson when they break a record sent from your moms bed LOL...And here I was trying to be nice and change my ways, and you throw out the pussy. Do you even know what one looks like? Way to respect the women in here, moron. Sent from the Lone Star State Thumbs up for all 3 of ya [where'd ya go, Jin??] Can't quote more than 2 at a time. Anyway, didn't think Peyton was in on it until we saw it this morning. Can't blame him, but bet the other guys orchestrated it. No biggie either way. He was extremely brief with the comments about it, humbly saying it was a team effort, keep moving forward, bla bla bla. If you've ever seen some of the other stuff he's done (farces, bluffs, commercials, Saturday Night Live), he's all about having fun, God bless that and him. You live once, hes' earned the right for a little orchestrated sillyness. Not like one of these stupid TD celebrations that I am CERTAIN these guys hope will wind up on the Dancing With The Starters segment on NFL Network. It's 509 TDs, the keepaway took 10 seconds. Is that really too much?!? Was wondering what they do with all this stuff when the records are broken. Like Where is Brett's Favre's TD record-breaking football? Didn't some kicker just have his shoes delivered there? lol

Sent from the Lone Star State I really don't see how this takes away from the records integrity, he has still thrown more TDs than anyone else, and in a lot shorter of a time than Favre did. And so what if those guys didn't plan what they were gonna do ahead of time they aren't Manning should everyone be the smae and do the exact same thing when they break a record or should they be themselves? To me I see a guy who is a bit of a control freak and needs to have things under raps, maybe Manning just can't do spontaneous. Like the article says this is very Manningesque..

Seriously? To reiterate the sentiment, who the fuck cares aside from haters who are gonna hate anyway?
It's not clear who was responsible for it to begin with, Peyton or the receivers. Regardless, even if it was all Peyton's idea, the guy just set (and will continue setting) a record that's likely to stand for generations. Do you mind if he has a little fun with it? Is that alright with you?

If nobody ever replied or had contradicting opinions this place would have no purpose. What I am saying is just my opinion and I believe the exchanging of opinions is how a discussion or argument is formulated. If you just wanna post your opinion without response then you want to have a blog or write a newspaper not go on a forum.
