Now I see how you perverts got thinner and thinner. I like Hoyer too. At least the #28th or so in our league. lol

I have Brees and only need a QB for one week. Hmmmm. Quite frankly, you might wanna think about QB weekly matchups here-- even with Brees. I've run with Stafford every week in our NFFL league and I'm 0-6. I'm seriously thinking about picking up Hoyer and starting him against JAX over my "top 5" QB draft pick. I'm right above ya, clinging on to 9th place. One of 2, maybe 3 leagues I just give up on. I'll try, but it;s just pointless. You see how my team was decimated in a week in Neil's league? Greatest RBs imaginable, depth and all - wiped out. lol

Ya I started thinking about playiing Hoyer over Brees. But the only thing that made him score for me was the fifty one yard pass. I think in a standard league the stats were nothing special. But I am thinking about it. Thanks Lacy. I want to win the hundreds of dollars that are sitting right here to my left. I think I have to play my stud though. But its a close call. Detroit? That's my defense. haha I love ff.

Bye the way Dalton is ranked 19th in that league and Torrey went from 62nd to 36th in one week. That's called Vision. I'm glad I didn't get rid of him. Torrey's a deep threat and, as such, not only is he the guy who gets the opposing team's best CB (and possibly safety too), but he's also not going to make that big catch every week. Like Colston (but for different reasons), he's hit-or-miss, mostly miss. I've said it before and I'll say it again...Steve Smith's the man among the Ravens WR's.

My guess is they put their best corner on Torrey, cuz he's a terrific blocker. He's got a bit of the beast mode in him, the secondary does not scare him at all. He doesn't wait around to get tackled. Same thing goes for any other receiver. They often have to go through Torrey to get him, so they might as well put the best guy on him. Doesn't seem to make that big catch every week. Been wondering if he's a bit more in the TE capacity (opposite of Jimmy Graham, right?) with Pitta out and Steve Smith doing great. OTOH, expected Torrey to have more catches with Rice gone, and Jacoby's drop issues. Maybe too early to be this analytical. haha Anyway, I could be dead wrong on this, and not watched a lot of Ravens this year, but it could be they are not concerned with Torrey's stat sheet production because he's doing other things, and successfully. EDIT... Also Torrey Smith leads the league in deep targets and PI penalties because of it. If they stop interfering he has great potential in a bonus laden league. Didn't know that, but not surprising. Almost reinforces my point...they know if he catches it (not in the end zone obviously), they'll likely have a fight on their hands - atypical of most deep threats.

I read today that the top deep ball passes have now gone to Malcolm Floyd.

Bev..that Big Cheesy league of yours is my worst one this year and I thought that my team was good. One of my better drafts. I dunno what else to do but keep on mudding through. It does seem pointless though. 1-5 and soon to be 1-6 is not a good prospect.

That pretty much describes Steve Smith too, but he's more of a possession receiver as well as being able to run the deep routes. Ultimately that means he's a better option, because there are only a limited number of deep throws that Flacco's going to make. Most of the time he's also lining up on the opposite side from Torrey. I wouldn't want to be a defense having to deal with both of them, not to mention Forsett being able to catch passes out of the backfield.

It does seem pointless though. 1-5 and soon to be 1-6 is not a good prospect. You'll be taking it back in a minute. At Neil's, off the bat I lost Rice, AP, Ben Tate, Vernon Davis, and Gerhardt sucked. Keeper league and these were 5 of my 1st 6 picks!!! Ellington the only unhurt one that didn't suck. Oh, my 'bargain' Moreno 8th 11th rounder, gone. D-Wil, drafted 13th, hurt and also had to go. Oh, Brady, had to drop his ass too (8th round, drafted right after Cam, also gimpy) after I picked up Flacco. Cooper sucked. Harvin did not, but seems all his TDs get called back on penalties. Even my SEA DEF sucked as far as pts. These were ALL guys I drafted. Yeah, we keep muddling thru cuz integrity doesn't allow otherwise. Never understood how that many people did that. But since off to the worse start ever at Yahoo (not HORRIBLE in my BC league), I could see it. lol EDIT: Moreno was an 11th rounder. Was looking at Brady as 8th, and knew something was wrong.
