I think the best way to judge them is to think. Hummmmm If I had to pick a QB to play on "This" team who would I take? "This" team would be the same for each QB. Rivers for instance had two terrible years and was sacked and intercepted and fumbled a lot. Eli is in the same boat right now. Does not make him bad.
Thats what Im saying. The one good player Eli has on the team keeps dropping passses. The rest of them yahoos couldnt find their way into the end zone if you gave them a map.
That's exactly why I'm thinking Odell
Beckham might be a good player to stash on your ff bench. shhh...don't tell nobody else though.
As far as Eli goes...A LOT of it comes down to that offense as a whole, just not being on the same page, at ALL. Like I have said before about Eli though, he's never been a great QB, IMHO. He's more of a game manager. Yes, I know...the Giants have won a few Championships while he was the QB. That doesn't mean he's ever been a great QB, because he wasn't. He benefited GREATLY from a very stingy defense, and a good running game. He also always seemed to get the benefit of luck on his side too, and I don't mean Andrew.
As the years went on, I noticed that he was much tougher of a player than I had originally thought. He takes some lickins' and keeps on tickin'. He's also pretty intelligent. However, without a top flight defense, or a seriously legit running game, this is what you're gonna get from him. Just like last season. He's certainly not to blame for all of the Giants woes this season, or last.
There is plenty of blame to go around, and it will, come end of season...unless they are able to miraculously turn things around this year, expect a MAJOR overhaul in NY this offseason. You heard it here first...
