Just for the sake of argument , say I have AP in a keeper league, and will have to give him up. He'll certainly be back next year, if not much sooner ( ). He has no trade value, as he's a 1st round keep. But if I traded with someone with a #1 WW priority (which might currently be Morkim), promising to drop AP immediately, he becomes a 5th round keeper (maybe 7th if we tweak rounds like @eddiej2010 's CTM to acct for 10 teams vs. 12). One fly in the ointment is they haven't yet designated AP as anything that can currently be shoved into the IR/RES slot (and no timetable to do so??) Can we even assume that slot will open if he's suspended or 'out' indef? IDK, we're seeing statuses (or is it 'statii' (??) hehe) we've not seen before.

It's such a circus act right now with how they continue to keep flip-flopping back and forth over everything. I don't have an answer.

I don't see anything wrong with that Dive. It's a good strategy and that is what makes ff fun. Thinking up ways to get an edge. They designated him something now. Something I have never heard of. So go to your team and try and move him and see what happens. See if the res spot opens.

Smacks of collusion to me, especially since AP is pretty much guaranteed both to be back and a top-flight player. You'd be deliberately undervaluing him.
And both statuses and stati (one 'i') are correct.

That is one of the things that I think shouldn't happen in a league. In that case, whoever is #1 WW priority can release their best player and pick them back up to get a lower tag. In all honesty, its a classless move.

And both statuses and stati (one 'i') are correct. Both correct, eh? haha Not collusion in the way you figured. I would not be undervaluing him. He would not be a GIFT. Just an example... Morkim has Josh Gordon, a bargain at a VERY late round pick. So if this trade were made, I'd still owe him a decent starter for this year and/or or keeper bargain. That is one of the things that I think shouldn't happen in a league. In that case, whoever is #1 WW priority can release their best player and pick them back up to get a lower tag. In all honesty, its a classless move. Don't think so. Pretty sure (and maybe not everyone is aware of this), but if you kept someone, and then dropped and managed to get him back, that player retains their round tag. In fact, and not 100% sure of this, but...let's say you drop a guy you drafted in the 9th....someone else adds him and drops him, then you pick him up (or if you traded back for him)...he's still a 9th for you. Agree with Craig, it's just a clever workaround, no one gets hurt. And if AP could be shoved into an IR slot, no way I'll drop him for someone else to scoop up for no reward. Just wondered if it was a legal way to get an edge in a totally symbiotic trade. 'Classless' seems a little harsh - less so IMO than making your team miss the plane. lol Those that make the playoffs simply don't care.

Interesting conversation. So If I'm first on the ww and I drop my first round pick and repick him, He goes to the ww tag? I don't think so. But I'm not sure. If I drafted him and he's mine at the end of the year he goes where I drafted him. Hummmmmm This is keeper convo 202.
In the first place most leagues have undroppables. I don't think you can drop AP. Can you? Some leagues like OGY don't have any undropables.

haha Plax brought up a good point that I hadn't thought of. If you are 1 on the ww can you drop a player to improve your draft tag for him? I agree its bush league to do so, but is it legal? We may need to look at this and put it in the rules. Dang I'm having a huge problem right now spelling. One of my spells. I wanted to say constitution. There I got it right.
