I can't place Gordon because I have seen very little of him unfortunately. Davis runs a lot like Lacy. Similar build too. I know people like to laugh at the Big Ten's incompetency, but last year, Melvin Gordon averaged 7.8 yards per carry as Wiscy's feature back!!!Those are literally video game numbers. Regardless of competition, that's insanely impressive IMO. Kirk Herbstreit said Gordon runs like Eric Dickerson, lol Kentucky has a RB that if you broke his carries out to 280 carries, he'd have 16,240 yards and 280 TDs.

How am I ignoring it? I've said a couple of times that while Bradshaw is a better pass pro, the gap isn't very large (but you didn't post the stats to back it up) while the rushing and receiving are huge difference. Do you know how many 1000 hard seasons Bradshaw has? Did you know Bradshaw has 400 more career receiving yards than Jamaal had last season? Yes, Jamaal is far and away, so vastly superior to Bradshaw all around, its not even funny. Are you aware that Bradshaw was splitting carries with Brandon Jacobs? And? Edit: let me put it this way Mitch. Jamaal Charles (in his 1 year shorter career) has 80 more career carries than Bradshaw. But -1400- more rushing yards. So, he could match Bradshaw, then add another 1400 yards at 17.5 yards a clip.

Are you aware that Bradshaw was splitting carries with Brandon Jacobs? And? That's why he had only 2 1000 yards. And the injuries too. But even after so many injuries and the O-line's performance decreasing overtime he still played well. Just look at the game against the 49ers. Charles only shared the load one year with aging Larry Johnson. And now he has the help of the best FB in the league and a decent interior line. Responding to the earlier post, Charles is the better receiver, I'll give you that. But you're seriously underrating who Bradshaw is (as a runner)

Charles has 80 more career carries and 1400 more yards. That has nothing to do with sharing the back field does it? That's just better running and more efficiency. Don't blame injuries. If Jamaal hadn't tore his ACL he'd have another 1400 yard season under his belt. And as said previously, if we discounted injuries DMC would be a monster.

Bradshaw had less attempts in more years. Charles was 4th in yards in 2012 and 2nd in 2010. Bradshaw was 16th in 2012 and 9th in 2010. There wasn't much difference either when both are healthy like you percieve to.

NO way. McCoy is the best in the league. His talents are very special, and haven't been duplicated since Barry Sanders. There is NO Rb more talented or gifted than Shady. Yes, but we're talking about all around backs. About who's the best RB in all three aspects (running, receiving, blocking). His blocking has put a nice dent in it. Just the fact that you even mentioned Bradshaw and Pierre, ends this "debate" for me. BWL

I don't think it's crazy to say McCoy is the best RB in the league. I personally have him at #2, but I can easily see a case for someone putting him at #1 (and this is coming from a Giants fan). I wouldn't go nearly as far as to say McCoy has the most talent for a RB since Barry, but to each his own lol. No one can deny McCoy's talent though, he is an amazing player.
