This was my last draft of the season and it might be my best. I drafted live with 11 out of 12 guys from my dorm showing up for the draft.
Round 1 pick 2: LaSean McCoy.
Took him over: AP
Obviously, I prefer Jamaal Charles this year and I've explained why before, but I don't mind McCoy at all. Easy call for me at position 1 or 2 I've got that worked out. I picked spot 2 for this reason.
How did you get to choose your own spot? Are you one of those shady LM's Round 2 pick 22: Brandon Marshall.
I loved Marshall in FF, ever since he went to the Bears, especially when Cutler's playing. I got Marshall six spots after he should have gone by ADP. I took him over Julio Jones, Alshon, and Antonio Brown. I wanted to go RB/WR/QB in this league. It looked like it was working out with Rodgers and Brees both sitting there...
Round 3 pick 25: Julio Jones.
If he's fully recovered and can stay healthy, should be a great pick.Until Brees went with pick 23 and then another owner traded up for 24 to snag Rodgers. So my strategy was shot. I wasn't taking luck with pick 25 so I snagged Julio and built an elite non-QB top three.
Round 4 pick 45: Zac Stacy.
Yes, considering this is a standard scoring league, Stacy should be a decent #2.Stacy fell like a rock, probably because he didn't play much at all this preseason. I view him as an okay RB #2 in a standard league and a good value in round 4.
Round 5 pick 48: Reggie Bush.
Certainly not a bad flex play. No ppr though, and that hurts his value a LOT in this league.I draft Bush in a lot of drafts because I feel he's largely underrated, and his handcuff is very overrated.
I happen to believe his handcuff will outproduce him in fantasy land this season. He's my flex in this league, or at least he would be if I hadn't landed Djax in round 6.
Round 6 pick 68: DaSean Jackson.
We shall see. I honestly don't have much faith in RGIII. Still though, D-Jax does have a high upside, especially as a 6th round pick. I stayed clear of him in all my leagues though.I had planned to take a TE or QB this round, but it was just stupid to get Jackson this late. I now have two amazing options for my flex.
Round 7 pick 71: Matt Ryan
Took him last year as my starter in the CTM League. Also had S-Jax too Last year seemed to be a freak anomaly for Ryan. Nevertheless, I still got a bad taste in my mouth. Julio coming back from a major injury, and Roddy is old with recurring hammy issues. All depends on the health of his WR's. The Falcons have a chance to really screw you this season, as they did to me last year. Good luck.Ryan satisfied my want for a top tier starting QB. In my opinion he's 5th overall after Peyton, Brees, Rodgers, and Luck. And I got him at the top of round 7 after Cam, Stafford, and Brady, with Foles going as the very next pick.
Round 8 pick 91: Ben Tate
I am not a big fan of Ben Tate, but he was simply the best chance left at taking a starting NFL runningback to be my RB #4. I took him over Ray Rice and Maurice Jones-Drew.
I went in the opposite direction as you there. Don't see Tate doing much of anything as a starter on a terrible team. Could be wrong. At this point in the draft, I choose to gamble on guys that have been proven studs as #1 Rb's not too long ago(Rice & MJD).Round 9 pick 94: Emmanuel Sanders.
I can see BIG things for him in DEN this season. Great pick. Like him better than D-Jax, who was picked 3 rounds earlier. Welker is 1 concussion away from retirement, no more Decker, AND Peyton is the QB. Again, I wanted a tight end here, but I had decided to wait as long as I could on Zach Ertz and see what I could get from him. It came down to Sanders vs Jordan Reed, and I see no difference in Reed vs Ertz, but Ertz is 12 later on ADP, so that was an easy call for me.
Round 10 pick 114: Zach Ertz.
I also have him in 3 out of 4 leagues. He's starting for me in 2 of those leagues, back up to Cameron in the other. This leaves tight end as the weakest point on my roster, and I neglected to take a backup.
Not a big deal. There are really only about 2-3 TE's in the top tier who seperate from the rest. Not much of a difference in points between the 2nd & 3rd tier TE's. If he's not "special" this year, he'll be average. That puts you on level ground at this position with 8-9 other teams in your league. At least that's how I see it. Ertz has the potential to be special though. No roster is perfect and I waited on tight end to get really good depth at QB/RB/WR which was the original plan of this draft.
Round 11 pick 116: Bills DST.
With all my depth and my starters filled out, the Bills should rack up lots of sacks, and that's the primary thing I consider when looking at which defense I will draft.
Round 12 pick 136: Jay Cutler
I do like Cutler's upside this season. Drafted him in 2 of 4 leagues. Cutler is a high upside backup who will honestly compete with Ryan if the matchups swing toward Cutler's favor.
Round 13 pick 138: Terrance Williams
Williams appears to be the #2 WR in Dallas and may eclipse Witten to be #2 in targets. If that happens and if Romo stays healthy than I got a pretty good WR #5.
Round 14 pick 158: Knowshon Moreno
I like this pick. I forgot to look for him in all of my drafts. Great pick in the 14th round.Again, I'm not sure why Moreno has such a low ADP, but on average he's not even being drafted despite being a starting NFL RB. And one of the best last year. There's no O-line bad enough to erase those two facts.
Round 15 pick 160: Dwayne Allen
Another undrafted player by ADP alone, Allen could break out and be great, or I could cut him for a kicker before this Thursday comes around. This pick doesn't really matter since I didn't want to draft a kicker at all, and I never do on principle.
FINAL DEPTH CHART:

WR: Brandon Marshall, Julio Jones, DaSean Jackson, Emmanuel Sanders, Terrance Williams
