Let's make pretend it's your turn on the draft clock, and that these players are the ones you must choose between in said round. 12 team PPR with added bonuses for extra yardage. All of these players are projected to go around the same time. Who would you choose, and what rounds in a 12 team ppr do you see each of them going?
Cutler or Rivers? 6 pts per TD throw. I know that Rivers finally produced a productive ff season last year, but feel that if Cutler stays healthy, he has the edge this season(hands down). Big question is, WILL Cutler stay healthy? Who do you pick between the two, and what rounds do you think each will be drafted? Cutler is currently projected to go before Rivers.
Rashad Jennings, Reggie Bush or Lamar Miller? Bush seems like the safest pick of those three, no doubt about it, but Reggie is virtually splitting touches with Bell in a pass happy offense. I really like Jennings this season though, as I think the G-Men are going to be run heavy, it's a ppr, and I think Jennings is going to be catching a lot of passes out of the backfield. As for Lamar Miller, this could be the season he was supposed to have last year. Little bit worried with Moreno still in the wings, and he's on a MIA offense though. Who get's your nod, and what rounds do you see these players being drafted in?
Vincent Jackson, Andre Johnson or Patterson? Who do you draft, and what round.
Wallace or Edelman? Both projected to go around the same time. If Gronk & Amendola stay healthy, there is no way Edelman catches 100+ passes again, right? Wallace, like Lamar Miller, could be in line for a bounce back season.
Cooks or Sanders?
Pierre Thomas, Ray Rice, MJD or Fred Jackson?
Sproles or Woodhead?
Rudolph or Ertz?
Clay or Ladarious Green?

This should help you as far as what rounds to expect them to go... fantasyfootballcalculator.com/completed_drafts.php?format=pprCutler/Rivers is almost a tossup. I'll take Rivers coming off a great year. They both have RBs that are good outta the backfield too. Woodhead is a PPR machine (those are passing yds). For some reason, Rivers is still going very late, like 9th, usually after Cutler. Look at this...12th round, I don't get it fantasyfootballcalculator.com/draft/2291107I'm still taking Reggie Bush, cuz he's the better back. Okay... Jennings will be the workhorse, and rookie Andre Williams has 10 career catches. Wilson gone, Nicks long gone too makes him all the more attractive. No, I can't do it. It's a jobshare, but Bush still managed 1500 all-purpose yds and 54 catches in 14 games. He's my guy. It's not a crowded backfield. Golden Tate was not a luxury, he's a bare necessity. Patterson. Gotta roll the dice here. V-Jax is as reliable production as they come. Glennon should get better. Eh, eeny meeny. If the draft were today, V-Jax maybe. I wanna see more of Bridgewater, and how he clicks with Patterson. I know Andre Johnson is a beast, but IDK who their QB is, and he's miserable there. Shutout Blowout to AZ this week. I'm steering clear. Cooks. Peyton has tons of weapons. Sanders will definitely produce. But Cooks is already making huge waves. Was hoping the Eagles could nab him, but I digress. Gotta go with Pierre Thomas. 77 catches last year. Or Ray Rice. It's only the penalty that makes it close. Woodhead. He & Sproles both PPR machines. But Sproles is behind an elite RB who does not get (need) a lot of spelling/rest. Rudolph. More experience, reliable, few offensive weapons. Again, I wanna see how Bridgewater pans out. Ertz make have a mini-breakout, and Foles is a huge plus. But Celek is still there, Maclin healthy, Sproles, gotta go with Rudolph. Clay. Too lazy to look up Green. lol Clay was a tad inconsistent last year, but his 1st year starting, newly defined role/position - he should improve. So should Tanny.

Green is really looking good this year. But the Chargers have so many to throw to and Rivers will find the open guy. Floyd is having a great camp, Keenan Allen is Keenan Allen, Eddie Royal is there, and Gates and Woodhead will get their share. So how many balls are left? But I really like Greens future, I mean how many more years does Gates have?
So I see Green having a catch or two most games and then that one or two spectacular games.

I'll preface this by saying that I'm not really what you'd call an expert on PPR (such as ADP, so I'll avoid discussion of draft rounds), nor do I know how many PPR your league gives, but: Rivers is the safer option, frankly, but Cutler is obviously a solid choice. I'll let my colors bleed through and go with Rivers. Of course, a lot depends on whether you're looking at them as a QB1 or QB2. I trust no Giants' backs, no matter how good they look in preseason, and I'm not touching the Fins' backfield. Bush all the way. Tough call between VJax and AJ. All three are deep-ball threats, but AJ is likely to get the most receptions. I'd say if you're into mitigating risk, he's the call, if you're not so afraid of risk VJax is the way to go, and Patterson has less return for the risk but a high upside. I've never liked Wallace and probably never will, especially with his current chemistry issues. With Edelman, I really don't trust either Gronk or Amendola to stay healthy. I'd rank him as a WR3 at best. Not a fan of either option, frankly, but if pressed I'd go with Edelman. BIG risk with your next choice. Cooks will be a late-rounder and I see him more as a deep-ball threat, where Sanders can be a little more of a possession receiver but is in an offense with at least as many mouths to feed, if not more. I'm averse to picking rookie WR's anyway (the last one I chose was Marques Colston, who pleasantly surprised me for that year). I'll still take the wily vet over the talented rookie. I'd be looking at Sanders as a WR4 if possible, but he'll probably go as a WR3. With the RB's, I have a lot of faith in Ray Rice and think he'll outstrip people's expectations once he's back, but for PPR I have to think MJD is the best man for the job, and you'll most likely see him take over starting back responsibilities when DMC goes down. Of course there's the question of when and for how long that will happen. If it were standard scoring, I'd go with Ray Rice; in PPR it's a tossup for me between him and MJD. You're looking at drafting either as a flex back anyway, so there's not a huge risk attached. PT has a way to go before he becomes a solid option, and while I love Freddie Jax I don't see him having much upside in PPR. Sproles/Woodhead is another tossup. Personally I'd go with Woodhead because he's behind Mathews as opposed to McCoy, and he has proven chemistry with Rivers as far as pass-catching is concerned. Again, you're looking to get either as RB4 material, though it's not inconceivable that either could go as an RB3. Ertz so far is all hype; we'll see, but again I'd rather go with the veteran, Rudolph. I'd rather not risk TE1 on Ertz. Clay is likely to get a fair amount of work, and Green has all that upside. Ultimately, if you're looking for a backup/TE2, Clay is a big-time draft deal, but Green is the only rookie I'd consider drafting from this list. He's likely to have opportunity with Gates aging, and he's a freak.

This is Greens third year. He's not a rookie. And he is a freak. Lines up outside also.

My very first thought was a big 'if' on the healthy. Brian Freaking Hartline eclipsed Wallace much of the time. Last year Brady solidified a chemistry with Edelman that even he maybe didn't expect. That will not go away.

Gotta go with Pierre Thomas. 77 catches last year. Or Ray Rice. It's only the penalty that makes it close. I've learned Pierre Thomas is #3 on the depth chart. Rookie Khiry looking good, so scratch the above. Rice Rice. My 2nd choice would be F-Jax. I'll preface this by saying that I'm not really what you'd call an expert on PPR (such as ADP, so I'll avoid discussion of draft rounds), nor do I know how many PPR your league gives, but: With the RB's, I have a lot of faith in Ray Rice and think he'll outstrip people's expectations once he's back, but for PPR I have to think MJD is the best man for the job, and you'll most likely see him take over starting back responsibilities when DMC goes down. PT has a way to go before he becomes a solid option, and while I love Freddie Jax I don't see him having much upside in PPR. Uh, Rice is good for 60 - 80 recpts a year. F-Jax for 40 - 55. Well, 2011 & 12 he got 34 & 39 catches, but in only 10 games. MJD, same range. MJD's only upside IMO is, as you mentioned, is when DMC goes down. He had half F-Jax's TDs last year too, with a bigger bulk of the workload. And 4.3 vs. 3.4 (!) ypc.

Craig, call Gates and tell him that he needs a walker......... Then maybe, and I mean maybe he would be able to walk a route ........ Because he sure as hell can't run anymore..........

Dude he led the Chargers in receptions last year. He is a huge decoy as well. I think I'll keep him another year. He is invisible it seems, he is never covered.
