To be fair, Baldwin never had a good QB to throw to him in KC. He had Matt Cassell and Alex Smith. True, he didn't really stand out in a rather barren WR corps that KC has, but he could probably be better utilized with a QB who has a live arm like Stafford. He is more of an athletic, deep threat/red zone threat kind of guy that can go out and win jump balls for you.

Anyway, He has the physical tools to be great. Never really had the work ethic

Mork and Mitch...heard he busted pretty hard in KC. Can he be any good in Detroit? sent from my pigeon carrier Baldwin was the most heart wrenching player around. Every year, I thought it was his breakout year. He'd be a camp monster. Great highlights, flashes of greatness. But the knucklehead was lazy, didn't run routes well, and never got on the same page with our QB. Granted, as said, he never had Alex Smith in the regular season. But he had Smith in OTAs and Andy and company were the ones who traded him away. I think he could be a great player for the Lions inoccent, but he won't be. Sorry.

I think being a 1st Round Pick put too much pressure on him. The Chiefs clearly reached big time that year, but he was supposed to be a mid-late 2nd Round Pick due to his raw-ness. If he didn't have as much pressure, it might have worked out. He had all the physical tools you want in a WR.

We don't need to go over the WR bust the Lions have had...but I will. Roy Williams, Mike Williams, Charles Rogers, Derrick Williams, Titus Young. Can Baldwin be any better than any of them?
