This is the first I have heard of it, but apparently the Oakland Raiders are looking around for places to relocate the team. Owner Mark Davis reportedly had contact with the city of San Antonio.
According to the San Antonio Express-News:
On July 18, Davis met with the officials, including Henry Cisneros, then-Mayor Julián Castro, City Manager Sheryl Sculley, Mario Hernandez of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation, and both Richard Perez and David McGee, the president and chairman of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, respectively.
The Raiders lease on their stadium expires after the 2014-15 season and they have expressed that they do not want to share a stadium with the 49ers.

Why not just move back to LA? Supposedly they could have accepted a deal with Levi and share the stadium with the 49ers. I also heard Portland Oregon was an option, the thought of Nike turning the Raiders into the Ducks makes me sick and I'm not even a fan.. The stigma around the Raiders lore and Portland would be complete polar opposites, they'd almost have to change the name and image to fit in. But that would likely enrage the fan base.

San Antonio could simply be a temporary home for the Raiders as well if they can build a new stadium, they could rent in Levi Stadium as well. But Mark Davis doesn't seem too thrilled with that idea.

Um...why the duck reference? Because I could see Nike turning the Raiders into some edgy hip team.. Which would be terrible. Portland is far from duck territory. That is why I asked. Portland also has no room or $ for an NFL stadium. Ducks aren't hip and edgy, they're vain and insecure. Just erks me when outsiders link Portland to the ducks....ducks are almost 3 hours south of Portland.

The Ducks wouldn't be nearly a "popular" as they are now if it wasn't for their new look(s). Nike wan't to stake their claim in the north west, just look at the Seahawks. But Portland was just a rumor I heard. San Antonio seems a bit more likely even though they most likely would lose revenue by moving there from Oakland.

They are probably just using SA like the Marlins did a couple years ago to get a better deal somewhere else
