On USAs 2nd goal, the goalie was no where in position to stop the goal by Dempsey. On the last goal, what was Howard supposed to do? He was in a good position but the ball got by him. And smh at anyone saying the USA/Germany game will be fixed. That game determines the winner of the group, and the winner of the group gets an easier ride in the knockout stages. Anyone telling you that the USA game against Germany is going to be predetermined has no clue what they are talking about. I'm just repeating some stuff I hear. Like I say, I'm not a soccer guy. What happens if Germany and US tie? I can tell you for a fact, I predicted that last goal by Portugal. It was obvious. I just looked on u tube to see if I could find the second goal by US and I couldn't. It was fast but it looked to like the goalie was in perfect position and didn't try. Or maybe it was the first goal. So if Germany and Us tie, what happens?

So far this is the best I can find. The goalie just stands there when the ball was kicked from a long ways away. It passed by him about two feet to his left. Again Plax I'm not saying its fixed. I just don't understand it.

The goal is too big for the keeper to cover every bit of it. On USA's first goal by Jermaine Jones, the ball was too far away and moving too fast, and it was in the back of the net before the keeper could even react. It's not that keepers don't want to try and save shots like that, but they literally can't.And what a fucking heartbreaker. We're still in a pretty good position to get out of the group stage, but damn. craig440

haha okay. I found another angle. It was a nice kick. It curved into the net. And was more than two feet from the goalie. He still should have tried. He saw it coming. And number 4 moves out of the way. Go USA.

Theoretically, Germany can get eliminated with a loss to the US.

what are the tiebreakers between teams in a group? I think goals scored. First goal differential, then total goals scored.

USA advances with:
- Win/draw vs Germany OR - Loss & POR-GHA draw OR - Loss & win tiebreaker vs POR-GHA winner
