I guess the average defense and missing the big shots to lose the playoffs made me forget. MVP =/= step closer to the best. Also. I would almost argue KD got the award bc the Heat slipped a bit in the regular season, and there was some Lebron MVP fatigue.

Whether Lebron was "resting" or not KD Played better this season. I would like to point out #Parkering is trending the same way #Lebroning was trending the other night.

Or did he simply throw more balls at the basket? Would you call KD a stud defensive player Mitch? Fun stat: KD hit 86 more baskets than Lebron with 335 more tries. Edit: to clarify by Lebron fatigue I meant the media and fans were tired of him winning. lol

KD had 5 more points per game than Lebron, more rebounds, and he single handedly carried his team for over half the year.

I showed you why he had 5 more PPG. He shot the ball 335 more times. And he had like, .5 more Rebounds per game. But he has less assists and more TOs. And you really want to talk about carrying your team? I saw how well he carries his team without ibaka or Westbrook. And I'm pretty sure Lebron "carried" his team.

Durant singly handedly kept the Thunder at the top of the Western Conference when Russell was out, and do people not understand how important Ibaka is to the Thunder? Serge gets treated like Bosh; he's not the best player on his team, but he allows the most flexibility for his team when he's on the floor

Morkim, I think you're forgetting that Mitch isn't trying to say that KD is better, but rather just that Lebron isn't "by far" the best player in the league. I don't think anyone is arguing that Lebron isn't the best... But I think it's fair to say that the are other players in the league that are also awesome and aren't too far behind Lebron. Durant is the best example of that, since he is skilled all around and similarly helped to singled handedly carry his team quite far this year.

Serge gets treated like Bosh; he's not the best player on his team, but he allows the most flexibility for his team when he's on the floor He carried them, if he did, by shooting the ball a lot. Durant is 80% offense. His defense is not super star. I know how important Ibaka is. The playoffs clearly showed that. His defense makes up for Durant Morkim, I think you're forgetting that Mitch isn't trying to say that KD is better, but rather just that Lebron isn't "by far" the best player in the league. The only reason I think it's by far is because of Durants defense. Or lack of it. He's a shooter. And a jump shooter at that. He doesn't enforce his will in the paint, and he takes a lot of volume shooting. If he was a better defender(not saying bad, but not at Lebrons level, which leads to Lebron being far better.) he could easily be as good as Lebron or atleast closer to it.
