Piezoelectric sensors below California highways turn vibrating copper rods into electric potential by disturbing magnetic fields in the presence of electric circuits!

Ever built hydroelectric dams in Sim City 2000? They were the best for a reason! Tidal power along continental ridges could generate electric power at 4x the cost-input-watt rate of a coal plant. Tidal force is an unbelievable untapped resource. These generators work because the tides slowly push sea air into a huge containment pressure, which pressurizes the air inside. This causes warm air lifted from the process to turn massive fans inside the facility to turn very fast, and generate electrical energy.

I did this in science class once! Not only does it look really cool, but by converting metal's high latent heat levels into steam, melting metal with electromagnetic current can also be used as power.

Harnessing the tides and waves have always been a thought in my head. Since I was a big wave surfer I know the energy. Solar is awesome and works. Many have it here in So Cal. I haven't read all this thread yet. But if I was young and looking for a career, I would look to natural energy for sure. It's going to be the future. I hope.

linkSaturn's moon Titan contains enough natural gas and coal for humans to burn maybe indefinitely. If we're looking at places to go in the solar system, we should probably skip Mars and go there first. Scoop up some of that liquid hydrocarbon natural gas. Shout-out to my Titans, bailing out all of humanity once again.

I found out watching TV and reading material on it, but NASA found out because they sent a probe there called Cassini, which has orbited Saturn and traveled below Titan's atmosphere and taken pictures.
