Hmmmmm--- looking over the keeper options you guys are discussing in this league--I guess the auto-draft didn't do soooo bad for my team in some areas. I won the SB -- so in a (now) 10-team league-- my pick at 1.10 could be Matt Forte, who isn't a bad keeper. Especially with that 1.5pts per reception league stat. He racked up over 450pts for me last year. I then get the very next pick (2.1). I'd never keep Alfred Morris here--so I get the best of what's left from YOUR castoffs. lol I'd also never keep Cam Newton as a 3rd round or V-Jax as a 4th---- so I get the next 2 best of your castoffs at #30-31 too. LOL LOL Although I have to wait another 20 picks for my 5.10 round pick, I can already tell you that Vernon Davis is gonna be available here. But as my second round-robin pick (6.1), Antonio Brown is definitely a good value and a candidate for a keeper. He hauled in over 100 passes just shy of 1500 yards and 8TDs last year. (455pt) Why should this year be any different? As my third choice, I have to look at MIN WR C. Patterson--especially since our league counts individual return yards/TDS. Although Dive drafted him in the 10th--and then dropped him --so I could pick him up off the WW--I'd seriously consider a conditional 7th round pick for him. J. Bell, the Lions RB backup to Reggie Bush, is also an option for my third. I'd have to give up a lowly 15th rounder for a player who scored more FF points than my 2nd rounder Alfred Morris last year.

I'm surprised you wouldn't go Cooper over Jones. I know Jones does returns, but he's never big in the recieving game, and with Smith&Smith there, might hurt him. Cooper is 3 rounds cheaper, and the number 2 guy right? AP is a give me. Not a fan of your QBs for that price now that it's 10 team. Cooper is only valuable with D-Jax gone. The 3 rounds cheaper doesn't matter in rounds this late. I'd agree that Steve Smith is a negative - totally forgot about him. Jacoby was very big in the receiving game with Boldin gone, although it wasn't always consistent (you could say the same about Torrey). Thing is, when a guy does returns (particularly kick, but he does BOTH), it could turn a top 25 to a top 5 - 10, depending on the settings. This league is 1 pt per 17 yds, fairly generous. Riley is possibly their #1 WR right now. Who would you think is #1? Maclin coming off a 1-year haitus, who was the #2 anyway? Jason Avant is gone, so Riley is secure as slot, and in a PPR league, this also adds value. So, Jacoby vs. Riley, 6 of 1 half dozen of the other. It'll sort itself out by the draft. Agree on AP and the QBs too. Luck is no bargain as a 4th, and Ben either, despite 14th round if he's not your #1. It's different for #3 RBs & WRs cuz 1) more byes to cover 2) greater chance of injury due to more starters 3) flex positions. EDIT: And as I've said before, with 3 teams, at least one has good keepers. If we tried to keep it at 12 teams, we'd likely have a dismal failure. All the teams were active in the beginning, so there were WW & FA additions and all. Heck, Miss Lacy showed up after auto-draft, which is really bad, and won. We should get a good replacement easily enough. Don't panic. We want someone reliable. EDIT: Morkim's got: 16. (186) Knowshon Moreno (Mia - RB) - may have much bigger role, albeit much worse QB AND o-line 17. (199) Jay Cutler (Chi - QB) - incredible weapons, unlike Ben. 18. (210) Brian Hartline (Mia - WR) 19.(!) (223) Julius Thomas (Den - TE) Shady as a 1.9 or thereabouts. Your team finished 4th. 7. (79) Golden Tate (Det - WR) 8. (90) Ben Tate (Cle - RB) Is Ben Tate slated for #1? Ben Tate will be the undisputed #1 for the Browns and they look like an up and coming team...I think tate is a great keeper in the 8th....he will be drafted in the first 4 rounds in most redraft leagues this year. I'm not convinced that Moreno will be the undisputed #1 in Miami...I see a time share there...I personally would not keep him. Julius Thomas is an absolute steal for a 19th round pick...WOW!!! Golden Tate could be huge in the pass happy Lions offence and certainly hold good value for a 7th rounder...BUT could he be drafted later than this if he was allowed to fall back into the pool...Hmmm! Bev, I think Morkim is spot on with Cooper and Jones. I'd be keeping Cooper 100% over Jones cos he'll be the #1 in Phillie and he has Foles throwing to him who LURVS him...they hooked up so much last season it was crazy. I just don't see where the competition will come from...Zach Ertz ought to be more involved this season but Maclin (after injury) and Avant won't steal Coopers thunder. Jones will fall behind Pitta (who come be huge this year) as well already being behind Torrey Smith. Steve Smith will also be ahead of Jones and Tandon Doss could be primed to step up this season. For myself I have to be delighted with LeVeon Bell in the 9th round and is my cert for a keeper. I think Jamaal Charles at 1:9 is a must as he will be drafted in the top 3 in almost every draft this year. Matthew Stafford could be tempting as a 7th rounder now he has Golden Tate alongside Megatron plus the 1:2 combo of Bush and Bell to throw to. Also didn't they draft a juicy TE too to bolster the passing game? Seeing Brandon Marshall fall back into the draft pool pains me BUT it's all about value and even Jordy Nelson in the 5th (5:9) holds better value than Marshall at 2:2...! I also have Stevie Johnson in the 8th (8:2) I have to watch the likes of Ellington, Jennings and Larry Fitz fall back into the draft pool too (as cannot keep 3 RBs and Fitz drafted in 3rd (3:9) so not great value!!! What thinks you?

What thinks you? I'm such a homer. I would swap you McCoy for Charles straight up <3 As far as your keepers, IMO. JC and Bell as you said are no brainers. Bell is almost as big a steal in the 9th as Thomas is for me in the 19th. You have too many RBs. lol. Marshall will go in the early 2nd, so keeping him there is spot on for his value. But most ppl like to keep keepers that give you a deal, because at 2.2 you'll prob have your choice of WRs. I don't know the rest of your team, but from what you listed I would go stafford. From my mocks I've done he's going to be the 4th QB of the board most of the time. And the big three tend to go in the first 3 rounds. So the 7th is quite a deal. More so with our QB friendly scoring.

What thinks you? Avant won't be stealing anything cuz he's no longer there. The more I think about it, duh, Cooper is the far better choice. If D-Jax was there, I'd say no. They often work the 2 TE set, which actually works in a WR's favor I think, unless it's a case like Gronk and the former Hernandez, both frequent targets. But 2 huge TEs Celek and Ertz, then bring Sproles into the mix, takes some pressure off Foles. Personally, I'd keep Jordy at 5.9 after Charles and Bell. Or Stafford. Eeny meeny miney...Jordy. Hey, do we get a chance to pick in between all yours? lol Fun thing about 10 teamers, you always feel like you have a good team. haha Yeah, I didn't wanna have to drop Patterson. Probably a bye conflict, and he didn't really do much 1st half of the season except for returns. The QB woes up there were awful. Honestly think he has top 10 potential, top 5 with the returns. Kinda doubtful he'll get there though, but who knows. Okay, something really weird is going on. I'm in Yahoo Fantasy, says pull up your leagues from last year, and all I'm seeing is mine (BC5). EDIT: Found it. Something still weird, but anyway...Dropped Patterson Oct 24 at 10:40 AM for...Brandon Gibson, WR, MIA. Talk about MIA. lol If it weren't for the fact it was still morning, I'd say I had to be drunk.

Still need one more manager...anybody out there wanna join a league full of peeps from this chat forum Ain't it past your bedtime? Only 7 of 12 have renewed in mine (including the invited new guys), and I've heard confirmations from them all I think. It does make it a bit frustrating to have to keep tabs, but too early for concern much less panic. But yes, this is a keeper. We do need 1 more, you'll have your choice of 3 teams. It's a great, competitive, friendly league. football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/27385
