I'm glad to see you around again sirshock, although I don't want Bridgewater. There's no way he would start this year, and Wisenhunt would be banking his job on Locker folding or getting hurt, which would not be a smart move. I also think he's quite overrated as a prospect, and I said that before his pro day.
However, I generally like drafting quarterbacks early, and I wouldn't hate the pick. I just think we can better ourselves more by taking a defensive piece. With Anthony Barr, Aaron Donald, and Justin Gilbert all available, I don't think the Titans even bat their eyes at a QB.
I respect what you're saying. I don't deny that Bridgewater has looked shaky and sketchy throughout this entire draft process and I almost had you guys taking Anthony Barr but at the time, I think that Tennessee is probably the best place for Bridgewater because of Ken Whisenhunt and his ability to get a QB back on track. I don't think he has a lot of confidence in Jake Locker and even though Bridgewater has fallen in this process, I think his game-tape and overall production at Louisville still make him a first round prospect and I can't see him fall all the way to the Browns' second pick. Whisenhunt has a lot of experience with efficient QBs like Rothlisberger, Rivers, Warner and Bridgewater could benefit from Whisenhunt's experience and the offensive situation in Tennessee because they have talented WRs like Justin Hunter and Kendall Wright and he can be a guy who could push Locker or supplant him as a starter.
Even though the QBs in this year's draft class have question marks, the ones who have a first round grade, I think, can be guys worth building around instead of QBs with second or third round grades like Garopollo, Savage or Mettenberger.
