Jaguars owner Shad Khan came out with some controversial comments about RB Maurice Jones-Drew's contract situation saying "The train is leaving the station. Run, get on it". Earlier in the week Khan said about MJD's absence "Believe me, it's not a great concern".
MJD has apparently taken it as Khan saying that he is expendable and if it happens, he is open to a trade according to NFL.com.

Yep. I think they should if someone is willing to offer what he is worth.

Trade him to either the Colts, Patriots, Chargers, Redskins, Lions, or Jets.

Yep. I think they should if someone is willing to offer what he is worth. The problem is you can never get what "he's worth." That's a subjective thing depending on the team. To the Jags, he's worth a top 10 pick, APeterson or a Pro Bowl Qb; will they get anything close to that? No, of course not. Based on that, he's untradeable.

JAC won' trade him to IND. JAC will not trade him to NE. WAS is happy with what they have, as is SD. Jets are interesting, but I doubt it...
The tag on MJD will be completely different between JAC and the team they would work with (if they do entertain offers).

Why the Jaguars would trade Maurice to a division rival?

Simple questions to ask if this was to seriously happen.
1. Who has enough cap room to purchase MJD?
2. Is that team in need of a RB or do they trust their depth?
3. Which division/conference does the purchasing team play in?
4. What would the Jaguars ask for in the trade?
5. Once we know #4, how much is that team willing to spend or are they conservative in such situations?
