So God said if you don't participate in the combine, you will realize your dream of playing for the Seahawks? Meaning he's trying to drop his stock so he can sign with the team he wants to play for rather than getting drafted by someone else. Honestly what other team would sign him, knowing he is willing to go this far just to be with Seattle?

But he did say: "Can't go wrong with God," Muema said. "(God) told me to sit down, be quiet, and enjoy the peace." This can only scream one thing to any team.... 'WHACK JOB!!!!' Where was God when he bought his airline ticket? I'd say he bought his way out of free agency, much less the draft. No doubt Lynch is much-relieved.

If I player is willing to make such a major decision on a whim like this, who is to say "God" won't tell him to miss practice or miss a game too. I don't see what value this player could have to any team. Since he was a 4th to 7th round projection to begin with, and he is a running back, a position in which there are many, many talented players, I agree that I don't see a team taking a chance on him in the draft at all. Someone may give him a shot in free agency, given that he must have some talent, maybe they can get a steal after the draft, signed to a minimum rookie contract with no bonuses or anything.

For whatever reason he wants to be a Seahawk, a team with no immediate RB needs has no ties to, sounds like a bandwagon fan. And if he wasn't totally batshit crazy, outta touch with reality, he'd have made up a bold-face lie, like a stomach virus or family emergency - not that after the invite of a lifetime and actual trip to Indy, he heard the voice of God that told this late round prospect he should be a 3rd or 4th string RB and sit down and enjoy the peace and quiet of Lucas Oil stadium, like a camping vacation in the woods. With no clue how that would sound to anyone, Pete Carroll included. If any team even wants to kick his tires, he's gonna go through a battery of psyche tests. And if he gets lucky enough to get a contract, it's gonna be 1 year with a lot of clauses.

His San Diego State team mates said they aren't surprised. They said the guy different. Whatever that means.

I do love the "can't go wrong with god" quote, but what makes this even more amazing is that the guys is divinely convinced he has basically given up on the draft process, certain that the Seattle Seahawks will draft him with pick #32, even though no one believes he's better than a round 6 or 7 back. If I were the Seahawks... I would actually draft him around those rounds or sign him UDFA. Two reasons: if he's right, maybe a little divine intervention could help. 2: If he's crazy, maybe he'll just be really motivated! Maybe he thinks that if he takes plays off he'll go to hell! It's a win-win for the seahawks.

There is two articles in the San Diego Union Tribune this morning. The gist of the story is its not funny anymore. No one can find him and his phone is off. He did not go back to his work out spot in Florida or talked to anyone. People are starting to worry about him.

Any links craig440? I didn't think it was all that funny to begin with. "Sit down"? "Peace"? "Quiet"? Pretty disturbing - it's like he wasn't talking about the Combine at all. Wondering if he has family, any close friends. Just with the info given (especially his teammates saying they were not surprised), I wouldn't be surprised to hear something pretty bad, but sure hope not.
