School project for AP stats
I've compiled the depth charts submitted, checked them against PFFs roster grades for 2013, and averaged each team's position groups on their same six point scale to ensure accuracy. 1=poor starter, 2=below avg starter,3= avg starter 4= above avg, 5= high quality, and 6= elite. Pffs ratings not mine. There are 7 position groups (rb, wr, T, G/C, dl, lb, cb, s worth 6 possible points, and I doubled the value of QB up to 12. that's sixty points possible, so if every player on your team were an average nfl starter you'd score a 30/60, or 50%.
So far I've rated 3 teams. Houston: 26.9/60 or 44.83% Oakland: 35.2/60 or 58.66% Giants: 38.6/50 or 64.30%
This does not take into account depth, since I used starters from depth charts. and for players who missed 2013 I used 2012 avg ratings from pff. I estimated rankings for rookies out of 6, but that hasn't had much impact since few rookies start.

Wait for me to update the Packers and Chiefs
Even a rookie on PFF might be better than Freeman. :/

What did you do on players from teams that weren't ranked yet?
