I love how Sean Spence has been given a clean bill of health by the Steelers and is expected to compete for the starting LB spot opposite Timmons. Heard that I hope his knee hasn't hurt his athleticism and it doesn't take him too long to knock off the rust. We could really use that sort of athleticism in the middle of the field, would also make Williams a pretty damn good situational backer.

Tomlin said that Ryan Shazier is going to wear #56, Woodley's old number.

It's kind of eerie how similar he and Timmons are actually. Picked at the same spot, same height and weight, both were athletic OLBs turned ILBs, except Shazier being the better athlete and stronger.. At lest when you compare both when Timmons was a rookie as well.

Shazier's closing speed is on a Troy Polamalu level and he has such a great first step. 4.35 40 Yard Dash? As a Linebacker? That is faster than Zach Brown. I still have some reservations with him of course, but the athletic ability is there and he should rack up the tackles early on. Btw, I ALMOST chose that pic for my Avatar, but I decided to go with this one for obvious reasons.

He might be more athletic than Troy, most of Polamalu's magic came from instincts. It's going to be a bad day for anyone who thinks they can get away with throwing screen passes or outside runs on his side, guaranteed TFL every time.

Hope archer works out but I don't see it. Don't like it.
Should have taken Markevious Bryant or a cb there. Hopefully they get a cb or a real WR in the 4th.
Too many needs to take a damn toy in the 3rd round.
