The LeFell signing, and the Britt and Avant visits are too "Patriot Way"-like. They need to step up and get at least 1 big name guy so they can add quality instead of quantity. I would rather have a beast outside and some below average talents supporting him than a cast of all mediocre players. I mean I'm sold on Dobson's potential and Edelman's versatility, but how long can you support one of the best QBs in the league with average to below average talent. C'mon Bill, Tom needs some help. Unfortunately there weren't too many big names in FA or the draft, but they've had their chances. Hopefully Dobson and Boyce can develop into solid 1-2 combo like Ridley-Vereen, Jones-Hightower, and Gronk-Hernandez were. Sadly, one of the three hasn't worked out in the long term but it was great seeing it at first. Hopefully not all of them follow the path of failure after so much promise

We sit with about 7.8 million in cap room at the moment, and you have to assume that that will be around 5 million after the rookie signings, and you really need to leave at least 3 million to roll over to the next season, and the Edelman contract isnt counted. I just dont think there were a lot of offensive options on the open market. Decker was probably the best receiver, and I dont think he was worth the money he got. Maybe a trade is possible, but at this point I would lean towards a strong defense and a balanced offense which did win us 3 super bowls.

Dola and Edelman. That's not even counting the three rookies who all looked at times to have potential. Don't cry about offensive weapons. You've got more than your fair share.

Here are the suggestions made by the Patriots for the rules committee:
1. Goal posts extended an additional 5 feet above the cross bar. "The reasoning of this proposal is that definitive rulings cannot be made on many field goal tries that cross over the top of the goal post."
2. Make the extra point more challenging by making the line of scrimmage the 25-yard line. "In order to make the point after a more competitive play."
3. Place fixed cameras on all boundary lines -- sideline, end line, end zone. "To supplement the TV cameras and to guarantee coverage of those lines for replay, no matter where the TV cameras are located."
4. Coaches can challenge any officials' decision other than scoring plays. "To make more extensive use of the replay system."
I dont like the second one, but every other idea is good IMO.

Family Guy has proclaimed that God hates the Patriots. That is disapointing Sources claim it's because God is unhappy at how ungrateful Belicheck is. Three Super Bowl wins and he didn't smile once? What a jerk.
