With the 50th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft the Baltimore Ravens select WR, DaVante Adams, Fresno STRavens have two very solid WRs in Torrey Smith and Golden Tate but both of them are big play guys. As well neither is overly tall. DaVante Adams can be that big possession guy who can dominate in the Redzone. STRENGTHS: Broad-shouldered and well-built wideout who consistently wins at the catch-point, demonstrating good leaping ability, timing and hand-eye coordination. Tracks the ball well over either shoulder and has strong hands to pluck the ball when turned towards the quarterback. Quickly corrals the pass and wastes no time in getting upfield, showing vision to set up blocks as well as strength to run through arm tackles and a nice stutter-step to elude. Deceptive straight-line speed to challenge deep and shows good balance and overall body control to gain separation on comeback and out routes. Good strength and courage to take passes over the middle and isn't afraid of running through traffic. Alert blocker. WEAKNESSES: Does not possess the elite speed that his gaudy production indicates. Possesses normal acceleration and tops out quickly. Occasionally will allow the ball to swing away from his frame as he attempts to fight for extra yardage, which can result in forced fumbles. Cognizant blocker downfield but isn't nearly as physical in this area as he is when fighting through would-be tacklers. Production is certainly inflated by Fresno State's spread offense and because he is the favorite target of highly regarded quarterback, Derek Carr. COMPARES TO: James Jones: Like the former San Jose State standout, Adams' eye-popping numbers have come against questionable competition. However, his similar build, deceptive vertical speed and strong hands at the catch-point should help Adams emerge as a big-play candidate in the NFL.

With the 52nd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft the Arizona Cardinals select Odell Beckham JR, WR, LSU STRENGTHS: Smooth athlete with very good acceleration to get up to top speed quickly. Terrific shake and burst out of his cuts to beat press and do something after the catch - dangerous with the ball. Excellent vision with dynamic moves. Good footwork, timing and depth in his routes to create separation and catch the ball well in stride. Much improved hands, doing a nice job elevating and extending to snare the ball from the air - large catching radius and tracks well. Ball appears to slow down for him at the catch point, making fluid adjustments with natural body control. Speedy and explosive return man on special teams with vision, awareness and toughness to create - two career punt returns for scores. Consistent production all three seasons at LSU with career-highs in 2013. He can come in and instantly become my #2 or #3 receiver. His great hands and leaping ability makes him a perfect fit for Carson Palmer and Bruce Arian's offensive attack. Morkim

With the 53rd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers select Travis Swanson, OC, Arkansas I feel like this might be a bit of a reach, but it's worth it to take the best Center off the board. He'll be a day one starter, and can hopefully lock up the middle for both Rodgers and Lacy. cbagin

With the 54th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft the San Diego Chargers select Lamarcus Joyner, CB, Florida State. From CBS: STRENGTHS: Despite his smaller frame, Joyner plays like he's 6-2 and 225 pounds, hitting like a truck in run support. He has bounced between safety and cornerback, showing NFL scouts his versatility to help out anywhere in the secondary. Aggressive striker who only knows how to play full-speed, showing excellent timing to make plays on the ball. Plays fast with natural acceleration to go from 0 to 60 in a flash, displaying impressive closing burst. Possesses the build of a running back and loves to deliver punishing hits with his violent playing style. He also adds value as a kick returner and looks natural as a ballcarrier. Excellent awareness and instincts with quick diagnosis skills as well as the balance, agility and speed to handle coverage duties. WEAKNESSES: Though he plays with desirable aggression and intensity, he can be overaggressive at times, biting on fakes and allowing receivers to gain a step. While playing with no fear, does lack ideal size for safety. Where will his ideal position prove to be in the NFL? Sounds good to me! I could use one more CB to help the secondary, which I believe I have transformed from one of the worst, into fairly solid 101mitch

With the 55th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft the Atlanta Falcons select Kadeem Carey, RB, Arizona Simply a BPA. Steven Jackson is being paid way to much, and he isn't producing. Quiz isn't the answer. Kadeem will likely come into the season with the job his to lose. He is one of the most productive RB's in history. STRENGTHS: Demonstrated greater power and determination on interior runs as well as the vision and sharp cutting ability in 2013. Displays patience, willingness to be tackled in bounds to keep the clock moving and improved awareness as a pass blocker. nflfootball11

With the 57th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech ==================================================================== As far as talent goes, I said earlier with the Roberson pick that I believe Florida has the most talented secondary in college football. Well, Virginia Tech is right on their heels. Kyle Fuller, Antone Exum, Brandon Facyson, and Kendall Fuller (Yes, younger brother of Kyle) Analysis of Fuller: Strengths: A versatile DB with the athleticism to cover and the aggressiveness to play the run. Fuller enjoys throwing his body around in run support and is a disciplined tackler, doing a nice job beating blocks to show up at the line of scrimmage. He has smooth hips and natural footwork for an easy transition in coverage. But the game appears to come natural to him, making plays on the ball with top ball skills. Weaknesses: Lacks elite speed and struggles to recover after the WR gains a step. Fuller will get caught out of position when he tries to freelance. ======================================================================================================== I think Purifoy and Roby both have more potential than Fuller does, but they are both raw and may not be ready to make the immediate impact (like Fuller can) that the Bengals need at the CB spot. coltsrockjcr OTC

With the 58th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the Indianapolis Colts select Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State ============= Bradley Roby is a CB with elite speed and good size and a difference maker at CB. Excels in press and off man coverage. Aggressive attacking the ball and is dangerous with it in his hands. Willing tackler, loves to deliver hits. If he can stay healthy and out of trouble, he should develop into one of the best in the game IMO. Roby brings to the table what few IND corners have had in the past several years. An aggressive tackler with an attitude. He can learn even more of this from newly acquired vet Charles Tillman and should take Tillman's complete role in several years. With Vontae Davis, Charles Tillman, Bradley Roby, and Darius Butler, the Colts should the potential to have one of the scarier sets of DBs in the league with Landry and Bethea at the safety spots. Roby has scary potential and should be a star for the Colts down the road MarchingOn OTC

With the 59th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, the New Orleans Saints select Jack Mewhort, OT, Ohio St ========================================================== Since I lost Zach Strief in free agency, finding a new right tackle has become priority #1 for the Saints. I think all of the OTs projected in the first round are more suited for LT rather than RT, so that's why I waited until the second round to pick one up. Mewhort played right tackle at Ohio St his senior year, and that's where he practiced/played in the senior bowl as well. And I have read nothing but great things about how Mewhort performed at the Senior Bowl. Strengths: Excellent size, strength and technique to quietly star up front for the Buckeyes. Latches onto opponents and easily controls them, showing off the long arms, strong hands and subtle combination of lateral agility and balance to handle pass-blocking duties at tackle in the NFL. Plays higher than scouts would like but shows surprisingly flexibility and core strength to absorb bull rushers at this level. Generates movement at the point of attack as a drive blocker and will bury his opponent when he senses the defender losing balance. Weaknesses: Doesn't possess elite athleticism and therefore projects best at right tackle in the NFL. Relies on his length and strength, rather than top-notch quickness and agility to contain speed rushers and is susceptible to stutter-steps back to the inside. Plays high, negating his power in the running game at times and leaving himself vulnerable to the more powerful bull rushes he'll face in the NFL. A bit of a dancing bear when blocking in space, showing just average change of direction skills Panther OTC
