Well, what is the status of Marshall's contract?? He's only been a Bear for 2 years, but he makes a little more than Cutler. Thing is they look joined at the hip together. They always sit of the bench together, I think their lockers are even next to each others. Cutler always looks mad, you rarely even see hit crack a smile. Didn't he actually shove his own teammate (some HUGE o-line guy) after a play earlier this year?? But when Marshall misses, it's all smiles and laughter on the bench, they look like lovers reunited. And face it, Marshall was ALWAYS good, very good. But with Cutler last year, he became elite, ALL his numbers skyrocketed once again with Cutler, who had left his dearly departed with Josh McDumbiels, who he justly hated, as did MANY. Face it, the Titans could use a star WR. They won't have to build from scratch. It'll cost them, but Chris Johnson is making about the same at $10 mil. Locker is just @ $1.5 mil this year. TBH, IDK what his contract status is or what he can expect, much less if he can be trusted to stay healthy and become the true face of the franchise QB. Justin Hunter is blossoming. I doubt we'll target a wide receiver with Hunter and Kendall Wright thriving. Plus, Nate Washington just won't stop kicking, screaming, and catching tough first downs. But I agree with you and I don't think we should sign Cutler. The Titans can't handle any more drama at QB after Vince Young. Thats why they are gonna draft Manziel

Just saying he and Marshall seem attached. I know that's not really true. And it's not Cutler's call. He's just not that good. Marshall OTOH, IS that good. He's been far better without Cutler than Cutler has been without him. TBH, if Cutler didn't have Marshall, I think it's possible he would've been cut by now, or after this season. IOW, he seems to need Marshall more than Marshall needs him. Just saying that packaging the 2 of them at any given price is probably a better bargain than each of them on 2 separate teams totaling that price.

I doubt Marshall could save cutler.

Brady could not save welker from FA. I doubt Marshall could save cutler. Well, that's not comparing apples to apples. In fact, I very much wonder if Brady was even consulted on the possibility. As is the Patriots Way, we'll never know, not as long as Brady is a Patriot anyway. TBH, I don't see how he would've been anything less that devastated and adamantly opposed if he had a say. I gotta say, I didn't argue much with some folk who thought Amendola was just as good if not not better, and he was not injury prone, whatever. So now I'm here to tell ya, I told ya so - or I thought ya so. lol No, no way Marshall would have the least effect on Cutler's departure. Marshall has proven he could excel with anyone including Chad Henne. In fact it could be seen that he makes Cutler good. The reverse with Welker and Brady is not true, although I know he if not BB sorely regrets letting him go.
