Man, what a great game. I didn't play it, but I just finished the campaign by watching it on youtube lol. Great storyline. Has anybody on here played it? Just finished it. And I would go so far as to say that was the most original game I have ever played, in terms of gameplay, story, and the way it was told and how it all tied together. I mean, sure supernatural type games are done a lot, but none like this. I stopped playing a few months ago party because I think I got my PS4 around that time but tbh I just wasn't into it much. I was about 1/4 maybe 1/3 of the way through and it was just meh to me at that point. However, yesterday, I put it in because I had a friend over and I was looking for multilayer games (yes it's multilayer), so I decided to put it in cause I still needed to finish it. And I'm so glad I put it in. I was immediately hooked from there at the "Condenser" chapter. The rest of the game only got better. Now, there were a few things about the game that I didn't like too much like the confusing combat system and the fact that the almost all fights have the same outcome regardless of whether you're successful. If you get beat up or beat them up, same thing happens. Or at least, I think so, because my friend when playing literally missed every time in the combat with the zombified entity, but still got through the fight. Looked up on youtube, with someone getting almost every one successfully, same outcome. So if you get hit 20 times, or 0 times, same outcome. That's dumb to me. There were also parts of the story I was just like "really?". Mostly the romance side of it which I didn't really care for at all tbh. Idk why I didn't choose alone at the end lol. Didn't really care for Ryan at all, but whatever I guess. Also helping the woman give birth, rolling over and trying to put the girl to sleep like 5 times was kinda dumb. Makes no sense why Aiden can only control or kill certain people..or why he rarely helps you when in a fight with someone.. I mean I understand it's for the sake of gameplay, but it still makes no sense. Other things I can't remember. And it seems the "decisions" you make throughout the game have absolutely no impact and there's nothing I can really do to control how anything turns out in my story. Not entirely, but that is mostly true. At the end there are a few choices that will seriously alter the endings, so I liked that. And speaking of the ending, it was pretty epic. All in all, it had its issues and things I didn't like about it, BUT the story was amazing and really original. The gameplay was decent. The combat was a pain sometimes, but it was fun. I love Ellen Page. And she did a fantastic job. So did Willem Dafoe. They both did amazing. And it was very well voice acted throughout. Made it feel real and I could relate to almost all the characters. (I want to know more about Cole though.) Quantic Dream should be applauded for this game's originality and all in all amazing, immersion story. A lot of people didn't like it, and it got really mediocre ratings mostly except for gamespot (9/10). And I understand why. There was a lot about it that couldve been done much better. A lot of people won't like this kind of game, but I like games like this, and I really liked Beyond two souls, despite its shortcomings. I'd give it an 8/10. I'll need to buy and play heavy rain at some point. Oh, and the graphics were possibly the best I've seen on PS3. I may be forgetting how good TLOU looked, but regardless the graphics are amazing.

I preferred Souls to Heavy Rain, especially in the chapters at the Saudi embassy and the desert. It really gripped me at times and the characters were very well written. I had trouble giving a fuck about Heavy Rain after the first chapter.
