No worries. We did sign Jose Valdez, a former Razorback, early in the preseason, but he didn't stick around. Never heard of him either lol. O-lineman

coltsrockjcr Jonathan Crompton is 2nd string QB for the Eskimos. He should have been starting last week but their coach is a moron and didn't let their starting QB (Mike Reilly) play a week after receiving a concussion. Crompton came in later in the game and looked decent, how was he in college I know he was a Tennessee boy and there for you should know him Crompton was the absolute worst QB in UT history until the second half of his senior season. It got so bad he got death threats and the nickname "Jonathan Crapton" was coined He was so frustrating to watch because he has so much ability but never harnessed it completely at Tennessee. Made the worst decisions possible on throws. Lost focus. I don't know what happened, but around the Georgia game his Sr season most of it came together. Has a top-level NFL arm and very good accuracy on short and intermediate passes but can get lazy and start throwing errant passes. Good accuracy throwing deep at times too. Very good athlete and can run. Good mechanics. Decision making can be bad at times too. Biggest weakness of his is that he lacks the finer points of a QB's game that are a necessity to be good (i.e. looking off defenders, going through his progressions every play, pocket awareness, etc). I kept up with his short-lived career in the NFL but lost track once he got signed in the CFL. How has he done?

saskabroncoRyan Katz had one ok year with OSU. He transferred after getting benched for Sean Mannion(who is our current starter.) He is a bit short(6'2") but is pretty athletic....Mike Riley(OSU headcoach) described Katz once by saying "Ryan Katz has one of the strongest arms I've seen, he can throw it through a brick wall, problem is..you don't know which wall he'll throw it through." #GoUWHuskiesfucktheducks

He won't be getting a starting job any time soon cause Mike Reilly (Eskies starting QB) is very very good. He came in for part of the game last week and looked ok.. hard to really tell though cause the Eskies offense is terrible.

My fiance will be really upset. She is a crazy cat lady and when I told her the Riders signed a guy named Katz, she was hoping he would get good so she could get his name on her jersey.

Riders just signed Javon Ringer. Juggs, he played for the Titans for a while... thoughts on him?? MarchingOn, he played for Ohio State & Michigan State... thoughts?? He killed Michigan when he played them, that is for sure. Ringer's senior year he went for 200 yards on our defense, and we had a good team that year too. He's pretty powerful and hard to bring down for a guy who is only 5'9.. Good balance, low center of gravity. He's like Maurice Jones-Drew if you're looking for a comparison. Obviously he's not nearly as good as MJD is, but he's that type of RB. I will say though, he's not a very good receiver out of the backfield.. So if you're looking for a back who can do it all, it's probably not Ringer. That's how he was in college, at least. I can't really tell you much about him on the Titans.

Ringer is hugely injury prone. He broke his right arm, had back issues, and he also had a sickness of some kind that made him miss a lot of time. When he was on the field, he beat out Jamie Harper and was a decent NFL change of pace back, and we didn't see a huge drop off when he was carrying vs CJ2K, but he also had fumblitis.
Pros: Talented Power Runner NFL experience
Cons: Can't stay on the field (injury, sickness) Fumbles too much, that needs NFL coaching to fix

I hear that Dressler looks pretty good in OTAs.
