Thoughts on the first round.
Don't understand why Texans would take Clowney, he doesn't fit their system and their biggest need BY FAR is QB. That pick makes no sense in my mind.. Clowney can't be a 3-4 DE he isn't the right style of players he is strictly pass rush, and him playing OLB is a bad idea as I believe it is a slightly more disciplined spot than DE as he may be called upon to cover and he is to damn lazy to do it well.
SF trading up for a WR makes little sense to me as well because they have 3 rather good ones and a TE who can be classified as much as a WR as he can a TE. Trading up for one I don't see happening. Boldin and Manningham are both FA's true but they likely retain one if not both.
I really don't see DT as a position of need for the Rams.. but at the spot in the draft I am not sure what a better choice is for them.. I would say WR, but thats a lot of high picks on receivers in a short few years..
aside from that I agree with most everything else in the first round!

JindredClowney has the ability to play in a 3-4 from what I have been told (and read), and HOU's defense has not been that great either this year. I see them going with the best defensive prospect and seeing what is available on Day 2 (in which I have them getting Boyd) or FA. They have depth almost all around. They need playmakers. They have all of these picks, and I see them packaging them together to make a move. Crabtree is their only certain guy for next year, and giving Kaep a big target like Evans would be great for SF. They have Brockers, but Langford has performed poorly from what I know. So if they get Hageman, they would have a DL of Quinn, Hageman, Brockers, Long. That is sick.

Houston's Defensive issues have been in their secondary, not their Front 7. Clowney may have the ability to play in a 3-4, but doing so diminishes his potential. He is best suited to a 4-3. And I REALLY doubt that Teddy Bridgewater doesn't go #1, especially to the Texans given the merry-go-round that they have had at QB this season. I applaud you for thinking outside the box, but Bridewater is going #1. That is a fact. Also, you have A LOT of question marks in the 1st Round. Some seriously have me shaking my head. Blake Bortles (who the heck is he?), Davonte Adams, and Kelvin Benjamin deserve 1st Round Picks? Really? I mean I understand Benjamin's potential, but he is far too raw to deserve a first round pick. He reminds me a bit of Jonathan Baldwin when he came out with all the hype and we all know how that turned out. One of the main reasons why I don't try to predict trades is that they are simply unpredictable and are really not feasible until the Draft process begins when more info about teams interest in prospects come out.

Blake Bortles is a QB who would be a 1st round pick if he declares. Devante Adams is a very good WR, and would probably be the 4th WR taken if he declares. I think a team will fall in love with Benjamin's potential and pick him high.

Bortles is a very good QB. Not sure about first round though. Agree with plax on Adams. That guy is legit. Definitely agree on Kelvin Benjamin. I've been calling first rounder for him since he was a freshman. Panther can back me up on that.

I could see him going first round, like I said, he's very good. But is he better than Teddy Carr Hundley Manziel Mccarron ? I'm not so sure about that.

MarchingOnDuring UCF's game against SMU, ESPN's Brian Griese said some NFL teams believe redshirt junior Blake Borltes is the No. 1 QB in the country. The statement is not as far fetched as it sounds, and Bortles likely did not draw a lot of early attention because many expect him to return next year. Many evaluators will see Andrew Luck-like mannerisms in his play, specifically pocket movement and release. Bortles has not announced his NFL decision at this time. Griese added that bortles is his No. 1 prospect at the position, with Johnny Manziel at No. 2 All indications point to UCF redshirt junior QB Blake Bortles submitting paperwork to the NFL Draft Advisory Board, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Keep in mind this does not mean Bortles is declaring for the draft, but he likely wants to gauge where his current draft projection is. The Draft Advisory Board is usually fairly tame with their projections, however, we wouldn't be surprised if Bortles earns an early grade. He will earn a "poor man's" Andrew Luck comparison, thanks to similar pocket movement and vision UCF redshirt junior Blake Bortles ranks as Scouts Inc.'s No. 2 QB in the 2014 class. Marcus Mariota was the top ranked passer, but he has been removed from the list. Teddy Bridgewater earned a grade of 93, but Bortles is just behind with a 92. All indications point to Bortles returning, but recent developments in the quarterback group could launch him to the NFL. His mannerisms remind us a lot of Andrew Luck, but he will probably earn a "poor man's version" tag with that comparison.

I'm not making this draft on who "I" like. I am doing it on what "scouts" like and where guys are projected to go. And if Bortles declares, he is gonna be a high pick from what has been noted (above).
