Yeah this guy....Wow.
Never again will I draft this punk made of glass.
Such a waste of a roster spot.
It was just a matter of time.
Just had to get that gum off my shoe.
That is all.

Jeff sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this thread. Been pondering why DMC's production has fallen off this year and last...
As much as DMC is a #1 when healthy, he's never been a stand alone back. He's always been in a duel HB setup, we just haven't seen it in it's full light because of his dashing runs. Stick with me here, because I'll explain why. This is with injuries aside, because honestly, it's not if he gets hurt but when, and it actually helps my discussion further down the page.
To start his career he was running along side Fargas, who in his own right was good enough to be a starter. They pretty evenly split the carries, and wore down the defense together allowing DMC to stay fresh and leave him with his ability to blow the lid off of the opposing defenses.
After Fargas, we had Bush, another player well worth a starting job of his own. Again, they almost evenly split carries, and Bush took on the role of thrasher back while DMC was left to tear open the defenses with fresh legs.
Fast forward to last year when we lost Bush in FA and picked up Goodson. Even with the injury, DMC had 215 carries to his nearest backup HB, Goodson, at 35. We also seen a dramatic decline in his effectiveness. He wasn't running on fresh legs, and when he did get an open hole, it wasn't for the 15+ yard bursts we were use to seeing.
So how much was he really limited by the Lins Franc injury, and how much was due to the carries being unequally spread across the backs, leaving DMC on tired legs?
So far this year and Jennings has had 30 to Darren's 53, including a game when DMC got hurt, and a game where he was pretty much the feature back. In Indianapolis and Jacksonville, his total touches were 6, both games combined at 6... 0 at Denver...
We need to utilize Jennings more for DMC to be more effective, or revert to Stewart if they think Jennings is not capable. It's all in the numbers, and touches matter in this case... Oakland needs to go back to a Dual HB setup.
If Jennings isn't the guy we need to find him, because in the event that DMC does go down we need a reliable runner to take over the #1 spot.
