After a poor offensive performance against the Jets the offense finally picked it up against the Bucs. It still wasnt a perfect performance, but Thompkins and Dobson played like they had experience and we did a good job on the ground. This offense is going to be dangerous when Gronk, Amendola, and Vereen are back.
The defense played another great game. Holding Martin under 90 yards and Vincent Jackson to 3 catches. The pass rush looks really good and the secondary is holding its own.

Forgot to mention this earlier. Rob Ninkovich agreed to a 3 year 15 million dollar contract extension with 8.5 million guaranteed.
I am glad we got him locked up long term. He is one of the most underrated players in the NFL.

The full details of Rob Ninkovich's extension have been released. 3 year 13.65 million dollar contract, 7 million guaranteed. His incentives are based on playing time, and he is already significantly exceeding the amount of playing time he would need to earn most of his incentives. The only ones he wont get for sure are 600,000 in probowl incentives.
A very good value for a very underrated player on the field and in the locker room.

Conflicting reports on Gronk and Amendola's status for sunday. Most recent reports indicate that they are both expected to play.

From what I hear amendola, his injury can't get worse from playing. Supposedly it's all about pain management and tolerance?

From what I hear amendola, his injury can't get worse from playing. Supposedly it's all about pain management and tolerance? I have heard the same thing. It sounds like his groin muscle was disconnected from the bone. Apparantly it will be fully healed between 3-6 weeks, but there is no way he could further injure it or slow down the recovery. Amendola played through it vs Buffalo, and I am sure it is less painful now. At this point I wouldnt be shocked if both play, or if they dont play at all.

Pats release Marquice Cole for the second time this season. Kanorris Davis was promoted from the practice squad. Davis was good on special teams during preseason. Cole had no role on defense and only played on special teams. He isnt healthy right now and will likely return when he is back to full health.
