Ok, last week is in the books with the exception of one game. I'm ready to move onto the next one and (try) to completely forget about yesterdays' game. Congratulations to the Colts, you have something to really look forward to!
Now, lets talk the Governor's Cup! Chiefs @ Rams
Alright, looks like last week I got a little carried away and expected too much out of the Rams. I haven't lost all hope yet. What we have in this matchup is a possible playoff team (Chiefs) against a below-average team (Rams). Here are some important factors I came across when analyzing this preseason game:
QBs: Advantage Rams
RBs: Advantage Chiefs
WRs: Advantage Chiefs
DBs: Advantage Rams
TEs: Advantage Rams
OL: Advantage Chiefs
DL: Advantage Rams
K: Advantage Chiefs
P: Advantage Chiefs
Team Chemistry: Advantage Chiefs
Prediction:
27, 17
Players to Watch:
Sam Bradford: See if his ankle performes up to par, his health needs to be monitored above all
Dwayne Bowe/Jon Baldwin: Both receivers should be watched and watch their production closely
Jamaal Charles/Peyton Hillis: Watch the RB ball distribution carefully and see which one out produces the other. This is a tight battle.
Brian Quick/Chris Givens: Same with Bowe and Baldwin. See if these guys produce or not.
Janoris Jenkins: Jenkins was one of the only bright spots on the Rams. He actually did very good and only allowed one pass on the night and he played quite a bit of considerable time. I am very happy the Rams got a premier player here. I forgot to mention he almost had a pick 6 if the ball wouldn't have slipped through his hands. Regardless, he had a very good week 1.
Player Comparison to Watch:
Michael Brockers vs Dontari Poe
will do better? Based on eachs performance in week 1, I think it's safe to say Brockers had a better week, he created constant pressure and was held atleast 3 times. There's been reports that Poe is lost in camp. Lets see what he does against the Rams horrific offensive line.
