Aaron Brooks named to the Saints Hall of Fame. Not sure how I feel about that. On one hand, I know he was the QB that helped the Saints win their first ever playoff game, so he definitely has his place in Saints lore. However, Brooks was an average QB at best. And I don't know if I agree with putting average players in our HoF just because we don't have anybody better to put there. I mean, can you imagine AB even being considered for a team HoF at a place like Green Bay, Pittsburgh, or Dallas? It wouldn't happen.

Are they really that desperate to put a player in their HoF?

A piece from our SB year has returned to the team:
Mike Triplett @miketriplett · 3m #Saints and Jonathan Goodwin have agreed to deal, per league source. Terms not disclosed. He should officially sign on Tuesday. ==
Good signing imo. Not a lot of bodies on our interior OL right now. If the Tim Lelito hype is real, then I still think he starts at center this year. I am glad we have Goodwin for depth purposes though.

blogs.theadvocate.com/blackandgold/2014/08/02/checking-in-on-saints-rookies/^ An update on how each rookie is doing. -- It's good to hear that SJB has adapted mentally, and that his issues lie with just technique. He'll have plenty of time to fix that. SJB probably wouldn't have gotten a ton of playing time this year anyways, so it works out for the best. Also, I'm pretty excited for Ronald Powell. Looking forward to watching him this preseason.

Eagle, I'm still sore the Eagles didn't land him. Not their fault, who knows what they would've had to give the Saints to trade up 2 (?) stinking spots. And he wanted to be an Eagle. There was little doubt in my mind (just like I felt about Patterson, who was higher regarded) that Cooks would be a star, and a starter right away. Jealous.
Eagles vs. Bears starting in a few!!!
