I've played, and I'm still playing, in pools where I have to pick wich team will win each week but this is my first fantasy draft ever.
Here are my picks:
QB: A. Rodgers RB: Ahmad Bradshaw RB: DeAngelo Williams WR: Torrey SMith WR: Brandon Marshall TE: Tony Gonzalez W/R: Denarius Moore
K: Justin Tucker (Bal)
Defense: Ravens
BN: Josh Freeman (QB) BN: Lance Moore (WR) BN: Cecil Shorts (WR) BN: Ed Dickson (TE) BN: Montee Ball (RB) BN: Steven Hauschka (K)
Far from perfect but here are some explanations. I was alternately the 5th and 6th to pick. Since AP and other top RBs went out before me I thought I would get a Top QB instead. Then went the QBs and the guy before me got Megatron, but I got Marschall. As they moved to WR's I got Tony! So basically, since I couldn't get the top picks in the most popular categories I went for the "top" picks where I could.
About my bench, I don't doubt Rodgers but since we never know, I got Freeman. Yeah, I got a kicker, in case Tucker doesn't live up to the predictions. Montee Ball is a total gamble.
Any advice/feedback will be appreciated.

Just being honest/brutal (up to you really). Big mistake taking a QB in the 1st round. There's just so much depth at the QB position this year. In my 3 keeper league (keeper takes up 1st 3 rounds), I got Cam in the 5th. Marshall is a good 2nd rounder but mistake number 2 is waiting until 4th round or later to draft a RB. They are scarce and you are going to regret not having a feature back as soon as the regular season hits. Plus Ball is your only depth at the position you are weakest. Mistake #3 is drafting Gonzalez in round 3. I think Dive is Gonzo's biggest supporter and even she will tell you round 3 is early for TEs not named Graham and a healthy Gronk. After those 2, the difference in scoring between Gonzo or say Davis or Witten is not much and you can wait until generally around rounds 5 or 6 for them.
I'm assuming this is a nfl-managed league so it might not be a total ship wreck. 1st thing 1st is drop the 2nd PK, never hold 2 PKs unless it's one PK's bye week and you would hate to drop him and not to be able to pick him up again (dunno why though, basically all the same to me). I would also drop Dickson in hopes of finding a sleeper RB that might help your dreadful RB situation out.

I don't want to be too harsh.. but your Runningbacks are very weak.. Hopefully Ball pans out and saves you a little bit.. But Williams has been wildly inconsistent over the past few years (I would know I have had him and J-Stew often) and Bradshaw is injury prone on a pass first team and likely won't see a ton of points.
Like Ace said you shouldn't ever have 2 Kickers on your roster at once, unless you have a guy who is absolutely killing it one year and you really don't want to drop him on your bye week, then it is fine to grab a second guy for one week..
Your WR's are ok. Marshall will be a beast this year, and with Smith being Flaccos only real target he should be good. From there you have question marks.. Moore is a big play guy and is extremely inconsistent. He will put up a brilliant week one week and then he will do nothing the next.. I am not a fan of taking any saints WR unless it is Colston because every week its a different guy who is getting the ball. I love shorts and think he is a great pickup especially in late rounds, but his downfall is the lack of QB.. That doesn't mean he won't be good but it means he is a risk.
Picking 5th or 6th you should have been able to get one of a few good RBs
AP Foster Martin McCoy Rice Spiller (not entirely sold on Spiller myself) Forte
All of those would have been good options at either 5 or 6
I love Rodgers and think he is a great fantasy QB, but you got him at a much higher price than he is worth. You got him at the price of not having a solid RB.
You still may be able to salvage the year, I would do as Ace says and drop Hauschka and try and grab a sleeper back.. Another thing you could consider is trying to grab another good WR from the Free agent pool and try and trade to a WR needy team for a solid back.. Watch the waivers diligently and try and grab a sleepers as they come. Hopefully you have a solid waiver position!

Is it an nfl.com managed league? which means ten team? If so you didn't do so well. Don't worry. The first time is tough. But what they said is correct. Two kickers in a draft is not to be done ever again okay. I play kicker by match up. One kicker is not that much better than the next. So I often switch every week. For instance I like kickers in Denver if the weather is good. Ball flies better in high altitude. And I like dome kickers. Always no wind. A kicker in Greenbay in December might be a huge risk. So I switch kickers regularly.
I do the same with Defense, but just not to the same degree. I'm a little more respectful of my defense. I would have two defenses sometimes Lets say you're Ravens are playing the Packers or the Saints and the Defense that is playing the Jags or the Raiders is available. I would play that defense. But keep the Ravens. I hope that helps. Come back more often we need people like you and we really can give advice.
And I like you're avatar. That's why I can't read your post. LOL

And picking A. Rodgers in the first round isn't that bad in a ten team league. I always like to have a top QB. In the past him and Brees score lots of points. I picked Rodgers in my money league last year with the first pick. I was in a fourteen team league and knew I would not get an elite QB by my second pick which would have been the twenty eight pick. So I took the best QB first. Then on my second pick 2-14 I took Demarco Murray and the very next pick was mine, I took Adrian Peterson. Needless to say I won $1000.00. AP and A.Rodgers killed it for me.

Don't worry guys it'll take way more than that to make a tear appears or even break my ego. It is an NFL managed league with 10 teams. I can`t win anything (beside a little online trophy) since I am Canadian so this is mostly for fun. So, I should always get a RB as soon as I can ? Should I have tried to gun for Megatron instead of Rodgers ? I could have drafted him on my frist pick. I saw Foster, Rice and Forte still available on my second pick. AP went out first pick of the first round, no wonder after his performance last year. Now the retarded question, what's the waivers ? From what I get it's a message or offer ? I don't need Google to type anything from my messages but every now and then I stumble across a word I don't use nor see that often (my native language and everyday life is in french here in Québec). I haven't received any waivers nor messages. Bad sign ? Should I try entering another draft ? Thanks for your input guys. It's appreciated! Oh and here for Craig: I found it on a Fitness and training site a while ago, can't remember the exact adress. It's not my property so copy, save or do whatever you want with it.

Foster and Rice were both available during your 2nd pick? Ok, change my mind on the Marshall pick. Hate it, Would of been awesome to have a Rice, Forte/Foster duo instead of Arod and Marshall. The go early on RB thing kinda depends. In one of the leagues I commish, you only need 1 RB so it made the need for a good RB a lot less. Usually it's a good idea to get 2 good RBs early in the draft. Waivers are for players who are not on any FF teams. Usually there is a waiver priority order so basically if you are #1 on that, you got dibs on any player that is available. These are players who aren't that valuable but can be key to a FF championship run. Foster and Cruz are some of the players over the past years who have been waiver wire gems.

dremorius Waivers can go a couple different ways. 1) Waiver priority is set based on weekly standings. IE: After a week of games, the worst team in the league is Ranked #1 in waivers and then so-on, down to #10. If you want to pick up a player in free agency (usually starting on Tuesday-Wednesday that week) #1 waiver priority means you get to pick up any player you want. You might get the player you want, regardless of your waiver priority... it all depends on whether or not someone with a better priority than you goes for the same player. 2) The only difference I have really seen is in some leagues, priority is determined at the start of the year and then when you pick up a player off of waivers, you drop to the bottom of the priority list. So one guy could keep #1 priority for several weeks, until he wanted to use his pick on a big player. It still works the same for top priority getting first choice of available free agents. However your league works, the waiver system is there to keep things fair... either so that the weakest teams have first chance to pick up the best available free agents, or to ensure that everyone gets a shot at picking up the best available free agents, depending on your league settings. Hope that helps, and if I botched that explanation at all, someone please correct me... I don't want to accidentally cause one our own to lose in a league (unless I'm also in that league... ).

ALright, thanks. Here is take 2 (my second draft)
Yeah, I know my rb's are a mess, again.
QB: Kaepernick RB: Reggie Bush RB: Benjarvus Green-Ellis WR: Torrey Smith WR: Megatron TE: Jimmy Graham W/R: Eric Decker
K: Justin Tucker
Def: Ravens
BN: Mark Ingram (RB) BN: Jonathan Stewart (RB) BN: Monte Ball (RB) BN: Jermaine Gresham (TE) BN: Antonio Gates (TE) BN: Justin Blackmon (WR)
Got more options for Rb's but none may be true machines.
Thoughts ?

What round did you get Reggie in? I like him this year. And Gates (I'm know around these parts as a shameless charger homer). Gate may have a great year. Best shape of his life and we don't have the best WRs.
He shouldn't score as much as Graham thou.
