New Orleans, Portland and Sacramento have just verbally agreed to complete three-way trade July 10 that locks up Tyreke Evans as a Pelican
Deal will be completed July 10, sources say, sending Evans to Pelicans via S-and-T. Robin Lopez to Portland; Greivis Vasquez to Sacramento
Beautiful. This will definitely make LMA happy.

Sources are saying that a Houston Big 3 is likely now that Howard has decided to go there. Apparently the Rockets are probably going to engage in talks with the Atlanta Hawks for a sign-and-trade deal that would send C Omer Asik to the Hawks and F Josh Smith to the Rockets. Asik apparently does not want to be on the same team with Dwight Howard.

Andre Iguodala agrees to a 4-Year/$48 Million deal with the Golden State Warriors while O.J. Mayo has agreed to a 3-Year/$24 Million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Asiks the bitch in this scenario....he'd be wise to stay and help Houston get a ring.

He'd help more by letting them trade him for a position they need.

My thoughts on offseason so far:
Although some players have stayed in place,a lot of others have moved to different teams. The Dwight-fiasco is now interesting, because he now is in a lower-market system, and he's playing on a team with shooters (Harden,Parsons,Lin,etc.).I don't get why Asik wants to move though. He would still be starting unless Josh Smith ends up over there via S&T or a regular signing.Asik got paid big money last year and was a candidate for winning the Most Improved player (can't remember if he won it or not). With Howard and him being the starting big men, they would gather rebounds like crazy, since they are both 7'0",which is becoming harder to find now since the league is going small). With Harden and Howard being the primary scorers and Parsons getting open on double teams off Howard for the open 3's,Lin could really raise his assits numbers with Howard and Asik off pick and roll's.Smith is the better scoring option, but rebounding is the most under looked aspect in the game if you ask me.
Golden State is becoming a real force with the Curry-Thompson-Iggy trio. They can hold on to Daivd Lee and Andrew Bogut for rebounding purposes, and Harrison Barnes, who is a decent scorer, can be an excellent 6th man for the Warriors.
Milwaukee appears to be looking to resign Brandon Jennings and solidify their backcourt with the signing of O.J Mayo. They are both young and have shown flashes of talent in the league.
The Pelicans are going all in with the new name, logo and colors, and they're not short on bringing in new players.Jrue Holiday,Eric Gordon and Tyreke Evans are going to be a force along with the 3 point shooting of PF Ryan Anderson and the energy and skill that Anthony Davis brings.Evans,Holiday and Gordon all need the ball in their hands to make plays though,so it will be interesting to see how HC Monty Williams designs and offense to fit with the players they have.
Brooklyn is going all in for 2014 with trading for Pierce and Garnett.I'll be interested to see if Deron Williams looks to keep up his mentality of being a scorer,or if he will look to become more of an all around player and increase his assist numbers. Both Ganett and Lopez can make 10-15 foot jump shots consistently, and Pierce and Johnson can knock down shots from anywhere on the court,an both are great at closing out games, like Williams. The bench is weak after Terry, who can drop 30 on most teams any night if he's feeling it from downtown.
Boston is clearly going to rebuild with the hire of Brad Stevens, and the team will be built around Rondo if the Celtics choose to keep him around.Rondo is a top PG in the NBA (3rd IMO behind Rose and Paul respectively). They do have a good amount of role players around Rondo, who will be recovering from a torn ACL.
My thoughts on my Chicago Bulls:
We all know the starting lineup for the Bulls besides the 2G spot.I like the roster they have right now though.
PG's;Derrick Rose,Kirk Hinrich,Marquis Teague SG's;Jimmy Butler,Tony Snell SF;Luol Deng,Mike Dunleavy PF;Carlos Boozer,Taj Gibson,Erik Murphy C's;Joakim Noah,Nazr Mohammed
It does say Hamilton is under contract on the player movement page on nba.com,but the Bulls have said there is no chance Rip will be coming back for next season.
Rose will come back better than before (most local ppl around here don't believe that,I do),and Hinrich is a quality backup.Butler was good in the playoffs after Deng went down against Brooklyn, but he needs to improve his shooting EVEN MORE to become an offensive force. His defense is solid as a brick wall though.Snell is a good backup, but I'm betting we're looking hard at Monta (who I don't want,I really wanted Mayo to come here because he can score but doesn't need the ball in his hands to be effective, and a better defender than Monta),and Thibs doesn't give rookies much playing time.Deng will make an impact, but I think his days are numbered here in Chicago,he's almost 30),and Dunkeavy gives us a great 3 point threat, much like Korver did during his 2 year stint with the Bulls.Boozer and Gibson are the exact opposite in strengths and weaknesses (Boozer can score but sucks at defense,Gibson is a good defender but not a scoring threat). They'll be fine together, and I wonder how much longer Boozer will be here.Noah brings ton of energy and toughness,he's the Bulls 2nd leader.Nazr is a decent backup who isn't afraid to be physical (LeBron knows).
Closing thoughts;
We could either stick with Butler this season and look to next years FA class (LBJ,Kobe,Wade,Melo and Bosh are some notable names in that class),or we could sign Monta, who can be our answer at the 2G spot, but I hope he figures out that Rose is the better player of the 2.We'll see what happens.Besides that, the rest of our roster is set.
