I'm still buying the PS4 because gaming is where it's at. I don't care about Xbox's features. Hey Renegade, nice to meet you. But see, that's exactly how I feel about it. I just want to play games... I'm not into the social networking and 'watch TV' stuff lol

This is what concerns me the most. I am sure microsoft wouldnt be able to do this to 1st year games, however what is stopping them from adding it to future games. I currently have an xbox 360, but I have had a ps3 before. Xbox has offered a better online gaming community, however ps3 has offered me a more reliable experience. My trust in sony, and the 100 dollar price difference will lure me towards the ps4. Traditionally I buy both (which ever the two main consoles are, be it PS1/N64, SNES/Genesis, PS2/Gamecube, PS3,360). You can never go wrong having both, as long as they aren't screwing you over in the process. I did have the original xbox too, but not till the end of the cycle, and it was free. Not that I didn't play it and like it, just didn't get around to getting it before. If M$ were smart, they'd leave the choice out of their hands. They should make the platform both traditional and digital and let the publishers decide and keep their noses out of it. IF the publisher wants digital only game releases then let them do it, but if not, don't restrict everyone else. Also making game discs glorified versions of window installer discs is a horrid idea. I will probably end up with both at some point, but I cant justify spending 900 dollars for 2 gaming consoles, not to include the 70 dollars per game, per console. I might end up waiting a year after release, and then go ahead and purchase both. That would be assuming they drop in price during that year, which generally happens. 70 dollars per game is another issue for me, but I guess that is where we are at. It makes a service like gamefly seem better than purchasing the games.

I remember nfl 2k5 cost 25 or 30 dollars and every other game was around the same.

My first 360 was bought new... That was a mistake, no games really, over priced, and many issues. My second one, which is the Halo 3 collector system was bought at goodwill for $40, it had the RROD going on. So for shits and giggles I took it home and checked the model # on the official webpage. Found out that it was never registered, and furthermore was still under the extended warranty for the red ring of death issue, so I got it fixed for free. Found out they replaced other guts too, and brought it up to date for free. The games I agree on too, I normally try them first before I buy, or wait till they are cheap enough at gamestop to get. I rarely get them from walmart. Gamestop is where it's at new condition or used. They have a great selection, and the price even on new go down constantly, so you can get new unopened games for $20-40 depending on which price drop they are at. Who cares if you have to wait a few months, or a year later to get it. There are other games in the mean time. That doesn't mean I don't buy them as they are 59.99, just only from gamestop. EDIT: I also like Gamestops policy on being a nationwide network and will sell games from all over and ship them to the local center or your home. So even the hard to find games are obtainable.

Microsoft needs to make a bundle of the console without the Kinect that is $400. The Kinect is fancy and all, but if I even get an Xbox one, I'm NEVER going to use it. I wont even use the voice commands. They need to stop shoving that gimmick down people throats.

You guys know that Microsoft can reinstate those features at a later date, when ever they want.
The thing is all systems will be going to what the Xbox tried to do, even Playstation. Microsoft's problem is they did a terrible job of saying anything positive. It was all "TV, TV, TV, these are the restrictions and requirements the Xbox One will have." They said little to nothing positive that "gamers" want to hear.
I'll stick with Playstation, but I may think about picking up an Xbox One at a later, cheaper date.

I sincerely hope that buying games online will be a heck of a lot cheaper. I like having a hard copy, but if I can get a game $10/$20 cheaper then I'll take it.

For me to buy a game online it will have to be significantly cheaper. Right now I can buy a 60 dollar game, play it for 8-10 months and still get 15-30 dollars for it. So I end up paying anywhere from 30-45 dollars when I am all done with it. I would still prefer games were 25-30 dollars like they were on the last generation consoles, then I could justify hanging on to the games after I get bored of them. I will probably buy a next gen console around next Christmas. Hopefully they will be at least 100 dollars cheaper by then. I am sure gameplay will be significantly better on the next gen, but graphics wont see the same jump they saw from last gen to this gen. I wont mind playing this generation for a couple more years if I have to.
