Figured Kid would have this posted already..all over the news From USToday New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is being questioned by police in connection with a possible homicide in North Attleboro, Mass., according to a report by SI.com and a local newspaper. The SI.com report, which cites a Massachusetts State Police source with knowledge of the investigation, says Hernandez is not believed to be a suspect, but a vehicle rented in his name has become a crucial piece of evidence. SI also reported investigators are interested in searching Hernandez's home and that Hernandez has consulted with an attorney. Television trucks were parked outside Hernandez's home in North Attleboro on Tuesday. On Monday, a jogger found the body of a 27-year-old Boston man in an industrial park clearing, less than a mile from Hernandez's home. It is unclear whether the victim died there or the body was dumped there, or whether there, but police are investigating the possibility of foul play. This kid is not talking to police and that is always a bad sign. Tebow may be the Starting TE to begin season. -------- EDITED BY PantherAaron Hernandez arrested and released by the Patriots.Hernandez charged with first degree murder.

Yea, him not cooperating with the police strikes me as VERY fishy. This could get serious.

Where does it say he wasn't co-operating?

Where does it say he wasn't co-operating? Hernandez was initially uncooperative with police after the body of a 27-year-old man was found in an industrial park not far from the Patriots player's home, two law enforcement sources told ABC. Got this from ESPN

Only reason I didnt post is because there were 4 different reports contradicting each other. None of the reports lead me to believe that there is actual evidence against him, but it doesnt sound like any of them have actual info, just a bunch of speculation so far.
It reminds me a lot of when Brandon Meriweather was accused of shooting 2 people 2 years ago. He was quickly cleared of all charges, and pretty much everyone forgot about it.
As for Hernandez not cooperating it sounds like he was waiting for legal advice before proceeding to cooperate, and he would be stupid to just go ahead with it without doing so.
The reports all agree that a vehicle was rented in Hernandez name, however they do not specify when he rented the vehicle, and it could easily just mean that he rented the same vehicle at some previous time.
I will wait till more information comes out before guessing on how serious this is. To me it just sounds like he had nothing to do with it.
He does have some college issues with the law, but all of them were drug issues from what I remember.

From Espn.com
"During the search of Hernandez's home, that lasted hours, two friends of Hernandez who were in the house tried to leave but were stopped by state police at the end of the driveway. Crime scene investigators later searched the car the men attempted to leave in, according to the report."
Not so fast boys...

These "sources" have speculated this same shit before, and it generally turns out to be a lesser deal than what they reported. We should know a lot more about it later on today. If both TE's were out I think it would effect our running game a lot more than our passing game. Brady played with no-names up till 2007 and did fine with them. Amendola, Jones, Jenkins, Dobson, and Boyce are better than any receivers we had up till 2007, and I would take Ballard, Fells, Hoomanawanui over Watson, Graham, or Thomas. The defense isnt at that same level though, but with Talib starting out the season, the addition of Adrian Wilson, and the improvement of Chandler Jones and Dante Hightower, we should see a much improved defense.

Think about it. This guy, reportedly an 'associate' of Hernandez, around the same age as him, found in an empty lot less than a mile from his house. This is not Manhattan, there is no strip mall - just a few scattered mansions in an affluent neighborhood popular with current and former Pats. Let's chalk all that up to coincidence for a sec...
How does a vehicle get rented in Aaron Hernandez's name? It's not THAT common a name. Is there any man, woman or child up there that wouldn't recognize it? Rented from Enterprise, one of the top 2 or 3 companies in the country. You'd imagine they at least ask to see a license (which has your picture on it nowadays), and a credit card. They don't let you just send a friend or employee to get your car for you. So you can bet the investigators' next stop is Enterprise, who should be able to provide a huge piece to the puzzle. I'll bet they have plenty of camera footage there as well.
Now, I'm not saying Hernandez is directly involved with his death - he'd have to be stupid leave a dead body down the block from his house and to not realize that others knew he was an 'associate' of his. But I'd be very surprised if he had no clue what happened. The only way that could be true would involve copious amounts of alcohol or drugs.
So I'm not gonna speculate either. Seems to me there should be tons of evidence that can be obtained in a snap. Wondering what was in the box they took from Hernandez' house as well. Anyway, where there is this much smoke, there's gotta be fire. Can't wait to hear more. I'm guessing by end of business day, at least on the vehicle.
