alright, since my bengals are playing the jets this week, i guess its only fair if i do a preview of them too
nyjreturns, if you want to do some of the game previews every week, go ahead. just doing it for this week for now
so heres what to watch for this game
*QB battle. i mean this one is pretty obvious. tebow is the most talked about thing right now still and we will get a sneak preview of how he will play in the regular season probably. ironically, tebow made his broncos debut in cincinnati 2 years ago. now hes making his debut as a jet in cincinnati again. its unlikely he will start, because sanchez has played so well in camp, but getting to see how tebow will do on special teams and the wildcat will be a thing to watch
*Improving pass rush. the jets pass rush is something this team is looking for big this year. that is why they went out to grab DE quinton coples from north carolina in the 1st round of the draft. people have questions if he will fit the 3-4 sceme, but he will likely be starting right away. dont forget about former bills 1st round pick aaron maybin who was a big bust for the bills, but could be poised for a breakout year with the jets
*New WR's to throw too. the jets didnt resign plaxico burress, so instead they went out and drafted WR stephen hill from georgia tech in the 2nd round who has lots of speed. dont know if he will be starting yet, but he probably should soon. they also added raiders WR chaz schilens who was a disappointment for the raiders, but will be looking to turn it around in new york. dont sleep on jeremy kerley who could be used in some wildcat plays
*Better Safties. the jets didnt address S in the draft, but did sign redskins laron landry and dolphins yeremiah bell at cheap deals and will both likely start. they needed some improvement there, and both guys will probably fit well for the jets
